We are all here in the receiption when  suddenly all the guest gushing and giggling while looking at someone .

And I just knew who's that guy everyone are gushing around.

"Looks like your brother is here". Cloud said and look at my brother's direction.

Yes, you heard it right. My older brother slash frenemy. Ugh! I hate when he's stealing my shine right now.

I am the main event and this is my moment.

"Congratulations sis, and wow you're married. I didn't think someone will fall for that face". He chuckled and I hit him hard in the arm. Jerk!

"And you're still playing with someone's heart huh. Getting tired?". He shake his head and pointed Blaire.

"Who's that hottie over there? Is she single or in relationship, because I am interested with her". He said and was about to go to their table but I stop him.

"Not my friend! Choose someone else, she's to precious to be hurt by like you". I angrily said and he put his hands on the air gesturing that he surrender. He glance one more time and I gave him death glare. He ignore me and walk towards my parents. I sigh in relief.

Everything is perfect. My friends are to precious to me that I won't let anyone hurt them.

"You're brother still never change? I think Blaire will change him up--" I didn't finish his sentence when I said.

"If he wants to change, he will do it for himself not for anyone". I left with a 'duh' look as I walk towards the food.

I can't risk that, if he was interested with my friend. He'll change himself for the love that he wanted. We are not kids anymore, we are not this old to do wrong things and to be stupid enough to play someone's feeling.

As I put food on my plate. Lucien approach me. He did not say a word which is good. But I was wrong.

"You know I'm trying to change, Blaire caught my eye earlier. She's different than other girls I dated".

"How do you know? You only saw her once and you're inlove? Dude, it's 2023, that's not working nowadays". I said, laughing gently. Unbelievable.

"I know, I find it weird. I never does this thing, like falling in love in just one sight". I can hear his sincerity so stealing time on my wedding won't be hurt.

The guest are eating, the event will start when the guest finishes their food.

"If you want advice nor to talk. I am free for you to have a heart to heart conversation. Let's have some time alone". He smiled and we walk towards the empty slot with our hands full of foods.

Silent echoed in the empty slot that we choose to have a time alone together, as a normal siblings would do.

"I am really happy that you married your crush since 7 years old. I can't believe that you're too loyal while I'm too playful". Yeah he's right, we are totally different when it comes to love but I am willing to change his direction in life.

"You didn't know? Haha" I chuckled, he look at me confusedly. I eat my food silently as I leave him hanging with questions.

"We're in a set up, silly". I answered his questions.

"Like what, a arrange marriage? Why? did you want that kind of set up? He asked, so I answered every questions.

"Yes, arrange marriage runs through our blood. But I wish I would like it but no, Cloud has a girlfriend and I don't want to intrude. This is so hard and pressuring for me". I almost cried but no, no crying for today save it for later.

"That's so evil, sis. I can't believe that mom and dad would do that. Why you? I am the eldest but you're the one cooping my responsibilities".

"And how, how would you manage your relationship longer when you can't be with girls less than a week" I smirk, and he scratched his head, will it's not harsh but it's true.

"And we have differences remember, you can speak up for yourself that why you're taking you're dream course without our parents approval". I looked at my wedding dress, smirking. I hate it.

"That's true, I want to be Architect so bad. You know it's my dream right? But our parents insisted that I'll have business administration instead".

"But still, you speak for yourself and I am proud of that version of you". I tap his broad shoulder with teary eyes. My big bro will be Architect this year, and I am proud of what he become.

For the first time we have a serious conversation and in my wedding day hahahaha. But seriously, I am blessed to have him in my life. Even if we are like cat and dog but still we cooperate in a bad situation.

"I know guys like Cloud. I'm not shading him but I know him since we're in diapers. Did they broke up?".
He ask and I didn't know.

"I didn't know but I surely saw her in the ceremony, hours ago. She look sick". I think she's been crying a lot these few days and I'm feeling guilty all of the sudden.

"If he hurts you, I'll show him what hell looks like. I've changed, I did appreciate your love for me since then. I was ignoring it for the fact that mom always favor you. Jealousy took over but now that I know you're caring all these things to yourself then I'll be your extra shoulders to the burden that your carrying right now". How sweet. I hug him right and cried. This is so heavy but in the arm of my brother everything disappeared.

"I'm always here for you, Win. And I won't let anyone hurt and disrespect you. You're my little sister". He said while wipping my tears and cooping my cheeks.

"And I am always right with you, big bro. Thank you for being here, Lucien. I appreciated it even though you are in the middle of class". He kissed my forehead and we headed in the venue.

My protector is my brother.
