It was a long drive to Jungwons apartment but somehow Sunghoon had convinced the two in the back to not ask questions until they met the others.
They gave him and Jake a second to talk before they met up with the other four.
The two were still sitting in the car after Jay and Heeseung got out. Once Sunghoon made sure the coast was clear, he turned to Jake apologetically. "Sorry about my friends. They don't know how to keep their mouths shut."
Jake only laughed, apparently being over the initial embarrassment of the situation. "No need to apologize. You weren't kidding when you said your friends were eccentric."
They're crazy but they keep him entertained so he doesn't complain (much). "But what are we doing about the boyfriend thing? Is our plan in full force now?" Sunghoon thought for a second while Jake continued. "They're your friends so I'm leaving the decision up to you."
Sunghoon did contemplate just playing it off as if the two were just friends, but he knew how insistent his friends were. They would badger him constantly and he'd eventually blurt out that they were 'together'. "Let's do it, it will be simpler for everyone."
Jake nodded in agreement before getting out of the car, following Sunghoon towards the apartment building and into the elevator.
He clicked floor 8, turning towards Jake. "They are most likely going to ask endless questions, I apologize in advance." Jake just chuckled while following Sunghoon as he walked to the door.
They stopped in front of door 803 and Sunghoon took a breath before lightly grabbing Jake's hand in his own. "You ready love?"
He waited for Jake to nod before opening the door.
As they were taking their shoes off in the entrance way, they heard the guys in the living room arguing.
"There is no way he has a boyfriend hee, I don't believe you."
Heeseung crossed his arms, staring at the sitting Sunoo. "Babe we literally saw him in the car!"
"He's right." Jay, who was sitting on the opposite couch with his hand around Jungwon's shoulders, finally butted in. "You should've seen how smiley he was when he was talking to him, gross."
Apparently they were too caught up in their little dispute to hear the door clicking as the two made their way into the living room.
Sunghoon cleared his throat and they all whipped their heads to the two. Sunoo just gasped. "Oh my god you're real." Jungwon kicked him for being rude and Sunoo just glared at him. "Don't say that."
Some would think that his friends were being rude, but Sunghoon didn't take any real offense to their words. To be honest a while ago he probably would've agreed with them.
He's not very social, opting to keep to himself when he's not with his friends. He's had the opportunity to talk to others but he doesn't really feel the need to. He has his solid group of friends and a job he loves, going completely out of his way to make more friends kinda feels pointless.
"Don't even Jungwon, you're telling me you thought they were serious?" At that Jungwon backed down.
Sunghoons hands flew up in frustration. "Does no one believe in me?" The two should've had the courtesy to look bashful, but they both simply shook their heads and Jake looked to the side, trying to hold in a laugh.
Sunghoon looked at his boyfriend, kinda insulted. "And why are you laughing?"
Jake shook his head and grabbed Sunghoons hand again, trying to salvage the conversation. "I'm not laughing." He raised an eyebrow, obviously not buying it. Jake then caved. "Ok how am I not supposed to laugh? Your friends are funny when they're making fun of you."
Sunghoon just pursed his lips and crossed his arms as Sunoo started laughing. "Oh I like you." He patted the seat to the right of him as Heeseung was sitting on his left. "Come sit."
