After Sunghoon trecked his way into Jake's room he pulled out a pair of sweatpants. "It looked like your jeans were making you uncomfortable. Change it into this while I go to the bathroom." Before Sunghoon could even say thank you Jake turned on his heels, face burning.

Once Jake composed himself, he walked into his room to see Sunghoon leaning on the headboard of the bed, remote in hand.

"You... my hoodie?" Sunghoon quickly looked down at what he was wearing.

"Oh uh-" His face reddened as he cleared his throat. "I was cold. I hope this is okay." Jake nodded, perhaps too eagerly. "No it's okay! You look good."

Sunghoon's face scrunched up. "I'm in sweats and feel like shit, how do I look good right now?"

There was no way Jake was going to admit that he liked seeing Sunghoon in his clothes. "Um," He looked around before making his way over to the other side of the bed, planning on disregarding the question entirely. "What movie are we watching?"

"I was thinking a Disney one?" Jake nodded, he knew Sunghoon loved these movies and he didn't want to object.

The two moved together on the bed, almost subconsciously. They were sitting up against the headboard of the bed, Sunghoon leaning on Jake with his non-injured side.

His arm made its way around Sunghoon, pulling him closer.

Jake had always loved the way Sunghoon smelled. Yes, he admits it's kind of creepy, but he's just being true to himself. Sunghoon smelled almost citrusy with small hints of sweetness. It made Jake very comfortable.

They continued the movie, it now being halfway done.

Sunghoon was quiet and it started to worry Jake.

Now, Sunghoon wasn't the most talkative person on the planet. To be honest Jake spent most of his time talking and Sunghoon just listened, but this quiet was different. At the start he chalked it up to him being in pain, but now Sunghoon looked distant, almost distracted?

All this made it almost impossible for him to focus on the movie.

After racking his brain for possible answers, he decided to just ask Sunghoon directly. "Is something else bothering you?"

The way that Sunghoon's head snapped towards Jake with an anxious expression told him all he needed to know. "We can talk about it."

"No." He carefully readjusted his arm. "It's stupid."

His head shook. "Feelings aren't stupid hoon."

As much as Sunghoon wanted to avoid this topic, deep down he knew he had to get it out. It was starting to drive him crazy. "I'm just really really worried." Sunghoons hands started to play with the hem of Jake's shirt.

"Worried about what?"

Sunghoon started balling his fists and Jake noticed Immediately. He took one of Sunghoons hands in his own which seemed to calm him down. "I'm worried about not being able to do this turn."

Jake's eyebrows furrowed. "With practice you'll be able to do it, you're an amazing skater."

Sunghoon merely shook his head in disagreement. "I don't think you understand, I've never not been able to do something in figure skating."

Most would call him a prodigy. From the moment he stepped foot on the ice, coaches knew that he was going to become something. "This makes me sound so egotistical but it's true. It's taken time to get other hard tricks but it's never taken this long."

Hard things take time and he knew that. But there was something about this jump that brought him so much anxiety.

At this point it started to make him dread going to practice. Between the frustration at not being able to do the jump and the pain that he was in, he didn't feel like it was worth it.

There was obviously no way he was going to quit, he still loved figure skating, but he's never felt like this. Skating was the one thing that would always help him relieve stress, but now it was what was causing it.

"I just," he let out a defeated sigh. "I don't want to let anyone down."

Like said before, people called him a prodigy. When he was young he loved the title. The attention and praise he got pushed him to go further. However, that drive he got from the title turned into pressure. People put so much faith in him that it was starting to weigh him down.

"I love skating so much, it's genuinely my life." It has been for years and it was always going to be. "But not being able to do something you're usually really good at is a complete shot to your confidence."

Jake was silent for a moment, he wanted to take the time to say the right thing. "I understand where you're coming from, but I think you need to see it from my point of view."

Sunghoon was stubborn, especially when it involved something he was dead set on. It seemed like this thought process had gone on long enough to create a permanent spot in his brain. Jake knew this was the best and probably only way to get through to him.

"You are such a hardworking and dedicated person." By being friends(???) with Sunghoon for so long, Jake has seen how much he honors what he does. "I've seen the blood sweat and tears you put into bettering your skating and it is so admirable." Apparently his bones are included in his sacrifice. Jake still isn't letting this incident go; they're going to talk about it eventually.

"And hoon you fly on the ice. You looked so utterly beautiful on the rink when I went to pick you up from practice." Even though Jake had only seen a little part of the end of what he was practicing on, Jake had silently made it his mission to watch him every time he competes. He's coming to Sunghoons next competition whether he likes it or not.

"People see you for your accomplishments and talent, they don't see you for the small mistake you make in your routine or a turn you can't do." He squeezed Sunghoon's hands. "Even the most talented people have limits, that's just something you have to accept."

Sunghoon looked like he was thinking.

What Jake said seemed to have at least some impact as Sunghoon's shoulders eased up slightly, but a frown still etched into his face. "But my coach-"

"Fuck your coach, he's an asshole." Jake had never met the man but he already hates him.

Sunghoon let out a small, breathy laugh and Jake beamed. "Your laugh is cute."

Sunghoon mumbled a small shut up, ironically snuggling closer to Jake.

"You look tired, take a rest." The arm that was around Sunghoons shoulder moved to his hair, gently caressing it as he fell asleep.
