Chapter 1: Daily life

Saturday

Approximately 9.30 a.m.

Y/n's house

It was a perfect morning with cloudy skies waiting to drop as rain on the earth just like the way she love it. Y/n's woke up and stretched her body while yawning before getting out of the bed. Then she reached her arms out to grab her phone to check any notification. As expected the only notification she got was from Duolingo streaks and the weather forecast app. Not expecting much she puts her phone on charger and grabs her towel to take a quick shower.

Y/n is living with her maternal grandparents and her mother as her other siblings are pursuing their studies and careers at outstation. Her mother goes to work every morning and comes back on the evening. While y/n has finished high school and is waiting to get into a decent college. Well about her father, there is nothing much to say as he does give money for the monthly household expenses but is physically unable to support the family. He has a girlfriend in another country. So basically, her mother takes care of everything in the family for all the kids.

"Y/n quickly shower and help me do the house chores" shouted her grandma. Y/n made a grumpy face and quickly took her shower, then she did her daily routines. Y/n went to the kitchen to get a cup of hot Americano and some cookies that she baked a few days ago to eat. She then proceeded to do all the house chores and took the thrash out. The sky was still cloudy so she took all the clothes that was left to dry out in the sun.

Just then she saw a letter in the post box and she took it back in the house. Y/n looked at the cover of the letter and it was from one of the colleges that she applied. Without wasting any time she took the letter and went to her study table to find out about it. She opened the letter and checked it, turns out the college that she applied for has approved her application and was asked to join the following semester. Y/n's face brightens up and she was on cloud nine after knowing about it. She carried her cats, Felix and Eddie to share her joy with them and snuggled. Then she called her mom to inform about it.

Fast forward:-

Y/n's mum rented out an apartment for her and sorted out all the daily needs that y/n might need while studying. Her siblings came back to help her with moving her things to the new apartment and had a small party among themselves to congratulate y/n on getting the college. Sadly, y/n couldn't bring her cats with her as there aren't anyone to look after them when she is not in the apartment so her mum decided to look after them while y/n is away. The apartment has two rooms, a room attached with the bathroom and a smaller room which she turned it into her study room.
