A normal day chapter 1

She woke up in their bed dorm laying and staring at the ceiling. "Another day another hard labor" they said annoyed. She got up and took on her normal but slightly damaged kimon tied a with a rope this time. She walked down the hallway trough the crack wood floor and outside where their mother stood and hanged up laundry.
"Good morning sunshine!" She said as her usual self.
"How are you doing mother?" I said ignore her fake smile.
"What?" She replied
"Oh mother please, I know what father did last night" I said while picking up some laundry.
Their mother said nothing but continued to hang up laundry.
"They are very mature for only being 10" she thought, then she said:
"Sweet flee! Why don't you cheek in town if you could play whit the neighbors? They are quite nice actually!"
She just look at she mother but nods and begins to walk towards the town.
"Be careful! Remember to always come home before dark!" She yelled back at them.
"Yes mother I promise" she said waving back at her.
But she still don't understand why? There is nothing that could harm them after dark, well maybe a drunk man or a very protective mother animal perhaps, she thought for a second, mother always told them to not be out after dark because demon existed and could kill then easily.
"Demon, ha! I bet she just said that so I wouldn't be out late." She thought to them selves.

She soon reach on of the neighbors house, it was a big one. On the port is said Rengoku's, she had never meet someone from the Rengoku family and she didn't want to either. She stood outside the port looking around for any sign that they would be home. She didn't see on but when she turned around a lady with black long hair and red eyes, wearing a flowery kimono stood behind her.
"Oh my, are you lost dear?" She said.
She was froze, she don't know what to do! She bet that she looked like a lost child staring in to some else property! Oh god.
"Wait aren't you from l/n's house?" She continued.
"Y-yes ma'am!" I said.
"Well in that case please come in!" She said with a simile.
"I um, I don't know, I was just passing by and-" she got cut of my the woman.
"You know you have been passing her a lot lately." They got quite. "Oh I see" I was embarrassed.
The woman just laughs and said: " I'm Ruka Rengoku! What's your name?"
"Y-Y/n l/n!" I replied.
"Y/n huh? What a sweet name!"
I smiled, when we went in I was amazed with all the accessories they had.

Ruka told me to follow her so I did, we went to the back side and there stood three people, well one adult and two small children like me.
"No Kyojuro, you need to relax you muscles, or else you going to burn yourself out!" The man said to the child standing in front of him, the child that would be Kyojuro following the man's words.
Kyojuro swung his wooden sword very hard and I was surprised he hadn't fallen to the ground if exhaustion.

"Shinjuro dear! We have a visitor!" Ruka said. Shinjuro turned around along with the two brothers standing behind him.
"Who is this?" He asked.
I hid behind Ruka.
"This is y/n, she is from the l/n house" Ruka said.
"L/n?" Shinjuro looked a bit surprised when he head that name. "Well I haven't spoken with the man from that house in a long time, say how is he holding up?" He continued look at y/n.
"Well" I started, "He drinks alot, and" I hide myself completely behind Ruka. "He, he has injured my mother multiple times..."
There was a very very long silence after that. Y/n started to wonder if she said something wrong.

"Oh my.." Ruka finally said something after like 10 minutes of silence. "So he's not so good a I thought" Shinjuro said. "Anyways what are you doing here?"
"Ruka took me in!" I said with a smile
"She did didn't she" said Shinjuro while slowly turning to look at Ruka. "Oh come on Shinjuro! We haven't had visitors in a while and she looked quite curious!"
Shinjuro put up is hand in defense. "I- I don't say anything like that!"
When the to parents "discussed" about visitors y/n snook over to the two boys.

"Hi I'm y/n! What your name?" I said.
"I'm Kyojuro Rengoku! And this is my little brother Senjuro Rengoku!"
Senjuro was standing behind Kyojuro and scanning me before smiling.
