[Hello! Just letting you guys know this story has a slow start... I want to build this up well, but I promise the Tokio Hotel boys will make their grand entrance soon. Until then, I hope you will enjoy getting to know Lagom Ethics!]

It all happened so fast. Once it starts, it just takes off. That's what you hear most bands say. The same thing happened with Lagom Ethics. Breaking out of Scandinavia was big, and hitting the UK charts made Lagom Ethics sky rocket in popularity. The four members were clearly supported by a professional team. Their image stood out, and showed Europe that they were here to stay. This is where Maya comes in! She is one of the members of Lagom Ethics, along with three boys. To tell a good story, one needs to start from the beginning.

Maya was 13 when she found herself enjoying participating in a band as a hobby. She wasn't any good, but it was fun! Her friend Sigmund, had asked his friends to let her join their band sessions. Maya was more like a stand-in, to remind the boys to plan the bass when they wrote their songs. However, Maya was just happy to be there.

Sigmund was 16, along with his friend Carlo. Carlo played the guitar, but had just decided to take on the instrument after the band had a falling out with their guitarist. Carlo always treated Maya well, and made sure she was fed and happy. He was in many ways more mature than his two buddies, but that was probably because Maya looked up to him during this time in their life. Singing was Oscar's job. He was a year under Sigmund and Carlo, and it showed. When Maya tried to play Carlo's bass guitar, Oscar would yell and make a scene. He wasn't scared of telling Maya how annoying, useless and childish she was. Carlo or Sigmund would calm him down, and Maya when that was necessary.

So this was the situation at the time! Sigmund dragged Maya around, because of his mother telling him about Maya having to be alone at home a lot. Maya's parents worked extremely long hours, and Maya was an only child. When she got older, Maya felt like she was born just to be born. Her parents wanted a child, but their jobs were what they cared most for. They were there when they had to, like Christmas, birthdays and a short summer vacation. Poor Maya didn't know another life, so Sigmund saw her playing alone in the garden quite often. He then decided to adopt her as a little sister, as he is the youngest of 4 siblings. Seeing her so lonely made him feel sorry for her. After a while, Maya spent most of her days at Sigmund's family. That's how she ended up in Carlo's garage picking at his bass guitar.

Lagom Ethics was a close knit group. That's most likely because they all knew each other quite well before fame hit them like a bullet... The three boys were very into music, and played a lot of punk-rock, pop-punk, alternative rock and so on... Carlo was the oldest, and always had a cool head. Even from a young age, he would calm the members down and reassure them of their skills and abilities. When they got older and fame hit, Maya saw a different side of him. Carlo was a tall brunette, with dark eyes. He had always been attractive, but it didn't shine through to Maya before they became known.

Carlo would drink a lot, and you would find him with a girl or two under his arms. But once he hit the hangover, or woke up sober, he was back to his chill, cool self. He was a quiet guy until arguments went too far, or if band matters became personal. Carlo was always the most professional throughout their career. But the hard times were extra hard on him, and Calo learned the hard way. Despite this, he was loved by every band member, and he was the cliff in the ocean.

Sigmund would be born 4 months after Carlo. He was born in a talented family. His mother was an opera singer. His siblings all choose a musical route, so making himself stand out with music was a challenge. His mother loved her youngest son, and would be part-reason the band could break out. Sigmund's parents would get separated, and his step-dad was a big culture enthusiast. He would be the last push Lagom Ethics would need to get into the management they ended up in.

Sigmund would later adopt the nickname Siggy. He was a leader type, and was a brutally honest person. Siggy would turn into quite the smoker, to keep his anxieties low. He had a lot of pride for himself and the group, and the pressure he put on himself was extreme. While other bandmates got stupid drunk, and brought company home to the hotel room, Siggy was the most discreet. He would always be on time, and if he was still drunk or hungover, nobody would notice. If anybody was late, or puked on the stage, he would make sure they wouldn't forget it. He would turn into a reason Maya never turned up too late, and made sure last night's festivities stayed in her stomach.

Oscar was the wild one. He was also an only child, with an only mother. That showed. He didn't care too much about manners, or even about peoples feelings towards him. Oscar hid behind his confident and cocky attitude. When he and Maya found themselves alone drinking one night, he broke down telling her about how hard his mother worked for him. Maya and him had a new relationship after that.

Oscar always stood up for his members, and has hit a few guys in the face for Maya. He was a troublemaker, all throughout their career. He and Maya were blonde and had blue eyes, so many speculated they were siblings. In many ways, Oscar and Maya acted the most like siblings. Fighting, but backed eachother up unconditionally. Maya knew Oscar just wanted everyone in his life to be okay, and everyone knew that. Oscar just didn't understand that his bandmates knew him so well.

Maya was always quiet, and would just go with the flow. Her three, stubborn band members always had something to say, so Maya mostly stayed quiet. This started when she started to hang out with them in Carlo's garage, until Maya found her talent in singing and songwriting. Maya was always styled tom boyishly, especially before she got a bit older. In many early promotional pictures of the band, Maya could pass as a boy! 14 year old Maya didn't really care, but once she turned 16, she wanted to stand out more.

What didn't change about Maya was her brutal honesty and her humble attitude towards their fame. She would always let the boys rant their heart out to them, or take care of their one night stands and make sure they got home safely. She would make sure the boys knew when they were arriving and leaving, and remind them what city they were in when they had a rough time the night before. Maya would motivate them, and remind them how talented they were, both as a band and individuals. She was Carlo, Sigmund and Oscar's little sister, and they certainly treated her as such.

These 4 kids would grow up into Lagom Ethics, and play on the biggest stages in Europe. They would mingle with other celebrities, and meet thousands of fans. Their story started like most other bands...
