NINE

Mi-hi:

Ji-hyuk caught Seung-hoon by his blazer and yanked him back, roughly and I know what was Ji-hyuk's next move, probably a punch on Seung-hoon's face. I jumped in just in time and grabbed Ji-hyuk's hand.

"Let's go." I said and started walking out of the room by dragging Ji-hyuk with me as I wrapped my hand around his waist. He was busy starring and gritting his teeth, he didn't notice that I was dragging him out.

"What did that bastard try to do to you?" He asked, finally realising that we are out of the room and are walking down the corridor.

"Um- nothing." I thought about the consequences if I tell Ji-hyuk what exactly we spoke inside, including that Pyo-joo's part, so I decided to lie, for now.

"Tell me." He stopped me by holding my hand and turned me around to look at my eyes, to make sure if I was lying or not. He gave me one of his laser stare that made me shiver inwardly.

"I'll tell you only after you answer my questions." I said in a low voice.

"What questions? Okay, go ahead." I couldn't believe that he had agreed right away.

I cleared my throat before asking him the question that had been bugging me for few days.

"Um- Ji-hyuk! Do you like Soo-ah? And why's that you look disturbed whenever Byung-hee talk to her?" I blurted out and was ready to confront anything that's about to happen now. It may be a death glare from Ji-hyuk without any answer or he may walk off leaving me in the corridor or he might say 'None of your business'. 

His eyes widened, "You observed me very well, Mi-hi. Yes, I like her. Just like the way you like that whacko, Byung-hee." He answered very honestly and shocked me too. So, he had observed me too?

"You knew?" I asked by lowering my head, since I started blushing really bad.

"Yeah, yeah. That rascal is so oblivious to it." He said, lifting my chin up. He was smirking at me and made me blush even more.

I swatted his hand away and heard some footsteps from our left. The other Eye Candy guys were walking towards us with Byung-hee holding Soo-ah's hand. Ji-hyuk and I shared a look and sighed in unison.

I gotta thank these guys because I don't have to tell Ji-hyuk what Seung-hoon and I spoke inside that room. At least not yet, may be later.

"Hey, girl." Ha-jin put his hand around my shoulder and dragged me away from Ji-hyuk and continued walking out of the school building with Kyung-jong on my other side.

Soo-ah:

As the guys finally decided to leave the classroom, Byung-hee clung to me, as usual. I feel awkward but had no guts to push him away or say anything directly.

We left the classroom and walked through the corridor. Ha-jin and Kyung-jong jumping on each other, far behind, Hyun-soo Do-il were in their own world, right behind us. I spotted Ji-hyuk and felt butterflies in my stomach but that dropped immediately when I saw him standing so close with Mi-hi, he even held her chin and lifted it up to face him. I clearly saw her blushing deep red at him. Am I gonna lose Ji-hyuk? I must be really crazy to have such a strange thought.

Ha-jin and Kyung-jong dragged Mi-hi away from Ji-hyuk after we got close to them. Ji-hyuk's eyes met mine and my breathe hitched as we locked our gazes for a while. He joined us, walking beside Byung-hee and we left the school.

What did that look mean? Why did I feel difficult to breathe normally when our eyes met?
