3rd pov:

Mahi grabbed Miles by his collar and pulled him in, "Do I look ok? Do I look hot? Anything in my teeth?" She grinned to show off her teeth, Miles rapidly shook his head.

"You look fine." He squinted his eyes at her odd behaviour he had never seen her like this.

"Fine as in fiiinnnee or just fine."

"The second one?"

"Ugh no! Fine isn't good enough Miles, empty your pockets out for me."

"What why?"

"Nevermind I'll do it myself." She spun him around and dug into his pockets causing Miles to yelp, she pulled out a compact mirror, lipgloss and mascara.

"What the- when did that get there?!"

"It's always been there." She shurgged as she applied the products.

"Why don't you put it in your own suit?" Miles grumbled as he watched her.

"Duh I don't wanna carry that around whilst I fight crime." She reached back into his pocket and pulled out a tiny bottle of perfume, spritzing herself before running a hand through her hair. "Hold this I have work to do." Mahi shoved her products into his hands and walked past her best friend, heading over to Hobie, Pavitr and Gwen who seemed deep in conversation.

"Oi Pav, where's the bathroom at lad?" She tried to play it cool, making sure her British accent was clear enough for this Hobie guy to notice.

"Oh Hobie that reminds me, this is the girl I was telling you about." Pav yanked Mahi into his side, showing her off to Hobie, "She's British too." The Indian boy grinned.

"Y'alright." Mahi greeted the 6 foot 5 boy opposite her, she was pretty tall herself, 5 foot 10 and all, but he still towered over her.

Hobie was even better looking up close, he had something reminiscent of smug smirk on his face as he slowly looked Mahi up and down, as if he was analysing every square inch of her before his eyes met her own.

"I'm Hobie, Hobie Brown, and you are?" His voice was deep and his accent was a bit rough, he was from the rougher ends of London too, she could tell.

"I already told you who she i-" Hobie cut Pav off with a look that said, 'you're ruining my game' before turning back to Mahi, waiting for her to speak.

"Mahi."

"Pleasure to meet you Mahi, welcome to our little Spider society, although you don't look much like a Spider." He gestured to her suit.

"Oh I'm not I just jumped into  random portal after my best friend to make sure he didn't get himself killed." She pointed at Miles who was currently being chased up the walls by Mayday, "He wouldn't survive a day without me."

"So you're loyal?"

"To people not parties."

"I see you're not a fan of our society here then."

"Yeah no offence but the whole elite Spider squad thing seems pretty egotistical." Mahi spoke honestly, she really didn't like organisations, especially if they were VIP sort of organisations for only the best of the best, it seemed like a bunch of narcissistic ego feeding bullshit to her.

To her surprise, rather than being offended Hobie let out a laugh, "You and I are gonna get on like a house on fire love." He swung an arm around her shoulder as he started to ramble on about his anti-fascist anti-capitalist ideologies.

Mahi simply just smiled and listened, she actually agreed with what he said, contrary to popular belief, most of the British youth share Hobie's views as long as they weren't privileged white kids they typically hated the government and hated capitalism.
