The next day I basically had to drag myself out of bed and force myself into the shower. I was loathing school, because if I go I have to see Tristan, and I don't want to see Tristan. All he is doing is confusing me and I don't understand why I am confused. It should be easy to understand. My best friend likes him so I can't. How simple is that? I get dressed and text Anna.

Hey, do you want me too pick you up today or are going to drive yourself to school?
After a few seconds I get a reply, but it is not the nicest reply.

No, I will drive my own damn self so just leave me alone! You always have to get involved in my business! Do you think I am incapable of doing things? You are little annoying brat that just pesters me. You don't even deserve the honor of hanging out with me.

Excuse me for asking if you wanted a ride. Don't worry I won't even try to have the "honor" of hanging out with your almighty ass.

I threw my backpack on my shoulder while I walked out of the front door of my house. I arrived at school to have my already bad mood worsened.

"Will you go on a date with me?"

"No I will not go on a date with you. I have already told you before you can't like me."

"But-"

"No buts Tristan. I will not go on a date with you."

I walk away to feel his presence follow me. I start thinking to myself, why should I not go on a date with Tristan? I mean Anna is being a bitch and she needs to cool down after her little outburst from this morning. Even though I think this I continue to reject his question over and over again. All day I have rejected him, but when we finally go to lunch, I snap.

"Tristan, if I say yes to a date with you will you shut up!?"

"Yes I will" He said with a broad smile beginning to cover his face.

"Fine, I will go on one date with you. One."

"That's all i'm asking for. I shall pick you up at six. Be prepared for the best night of your life." He seemed to scream the last part as he vanished in the crowd of people.

Happy would be an understatement of what I am feeling. I feel like I could soar. School had ended about two hours ago and I still felt like I was on a high. In my head the plans for the date were being run over again and again. I was freaking out like a little kid at a toy store. The clock seemed to beckon me, so every five seconds my eyes would be on it only to prove it was the same exact time the last time that I checked. I put on a dark blue plaid shirt that had sleeves that went to my elbows. My jeans fit me nicely and ended perfectly above my black converse. I fixed my hair going for the scruffy look and stopped in front of the mirror making sure that I looked good before leaving the house. I drive the 45 minutes to her house. My anxiety was building the entire drive, and when we got there I felt like I was about to explode. I parked the car my hands shaking slightly and got out of the car. When I made it to the front door I felt extremely nervous. I knocked and almost immediately the door was whipped open. I was met by the eyes of a woman who I quickly established was Ivy's mother.

When I came home I told my mom and sister that I had a date. They stared at me for a few minutes and they even asked if I was joking. It is probably because I have never dated since the time that almost made me loose a friend. My sister nearly keeled over because of this whole date thing. I grabbed a granola bar from the pantry and went upstairs to get ready. While I took a shower Samantha figured out what I was going to wear. I used my normal strawberry scented shampoo and conditioner to make sure that my hair would smell fantastic. I stepped out after I had scrubbed my entire body clean. I walked into my room to see Samantha sitting next to the clothes she had set out. It turns out she is really good at choosing an outfit. She had picked out an off white baggy sweater with a black tank-top to go under it. She had paired that with dark skinny jeans and my brown boots. To top it all off she had chosen my long dangly necklace that had a green stone and some feathers. I slipped on all of these clothes and checked the clock next to my bed. It was already 5:20 and I still had to do my hair and makeup. I rushed to the bathroom and quickly ran a brush through my hair. I applied some eyeliner and mascara to make my eyes pop. While I was applying the finishing touch on my makeup someone knocked on the front door. My heart sped up because I knew who was at the door. I took a few deep breaths and headed towards the stairs. I began to descend the stairs to hear a gasp. I look up to see both my mom and Tristan with their mouths wide open.

I hear foot steps and look up to find Ivy looking gorgeous. My jaw drops to the floor, and a loud gasp sounds from the person beside me.

"Sorry, I just haven't seen her look like this in a long time." Ivy's mother says breathing in quick breaths and trying to hold back tears threatening to fall.

"It's not a problem." I say still staring at the drop dead beautiful woman in front of me. "Ready to go?"

"Sure." She says. Little does she know the few words she speaks bring me unimaginable happiness. In my head I am on my knees screaming YES repeatedly while fist bumping the air. I lead her to my truck, and I open the door for her. This brings a small smile to her face. Thank you mom for teaching me how to be a gentleman!

"So, what do you have planned for us?"

"It's a surprise. Just trust in me to show you an amazing time." I smile and say. These words seem to calm her nerves, because She looks out the window and watches the scenery go by. After about 30 minutes we pull up to a small cozy looking Italian restaurant. I park the truck and quickly jump out so that I can get her door for her. I hold out my hand to her and ask "Shall we?"
She takes my hand and says "We shall." I tell the person at the door we have a reservation under the name of Spain. We sat across from each other in a booth and talked about our likes and dislikes. I got to learn that we have somethings in common. We both love to swim, and We both love music. I also got learn that she hates snakes, and She also hates the sound of screeching brakes. Whenever she talked about hating the sound of screeching brakes she seemed distant and sad. I wanted to lighten the mood, and It was almost immediately.

"Here is your food, and Be careful the plate is hot." The waiter said. I am going to have to give him a nice tip after this. We both ate our food in a now comfortable and light atmosphere. When we were done with our food I paid the bill, and I led her to the truck. There was one more place I wanted to take her too.

Dinner was amazing, and a feeling like I have never experienced before began to build up inside of me. It was a longing feeling. It was a longing for this date to not end, but I knew that after dinner it would end. At least I thought so.

"My house is in the other direction."

"I know" a mischievous grin was spreading across his face as he said this. "We have one more place, and It is a surprise." In my head thousands of ideas were running wild except for the right idea. I saw lights and people walking down the sidewalk in the direction we were heading. Then I knew it was the fair. My face lit up like a christmas tree. I LOVE the fair!! Tristan parked the truck, and I jumped out before he could even get to my door. I took hold of his hand and basically dragged him all the way to the ring toss. I have never won a ring toss and my desire to only grows each time I see one. Tristan looked at my face not even once before slamming down the three dollars it cost to play the game. Within the blink of an eye he had one me a huge stuffed panda bear. Time seemed to fly by, and I found myself smiling a lot more than I usually do. We took pictures together in the photo booth, rode in the bumper carts, and pretend to be knights on the horses on the merry go round. Before I knew it we were heading back to my house.

I had the best time of my life with Ivy. I was filled with unsurpassable happiness. She was smiling a lot more than usual which made her look like an angel. I found my love for her growing every time she smiled. I won a stuffed panda which she cuddled with almost the entire time at the fair. I was slightly jealous and I felt embarrassed for being jealous over a stuffed animal. We got pictures taken together in the photo booth. I knew that I would cherish these photos for as long as I lived, and I put a few of them in my wallet as we walked out of the fair. I took her home , walked her to her door, and said goodbye. I didn't want to leave her , because I felt like she was my other half already. I was in love, deeply in love.

When Tristan left I felt sad. I honestly did not want him to leave. He made me smile and laugh like I haven't in ages. He made me feel beautiful and loved. I was usually ignored or invisible, but he made me feel like I stood out. He made me feel special. I changed into my pjs and headed to bed. I laid on my bed for a few minutes staring at the photos of Tristan and I. Then it hit me. It hit me incredibly hard. I am falling in love with Tristan. I stared at the smiling faces while drowsiness took over. The last thing I saw that night was our smiling faces staring back at me.
