Killian had come back from the gym and showered. He was now on his way downstairs, and expected someone to be in the kitchen making breakfast.
Instead it was empty.
He sighed with hands on his hips then looked in the direction of her room.
He wondered how they could make the deal and she already wasn't keeping her half of the bargain."TATIANA!" he yelled, knowing she was usually awake by this time.
He didn't get a response.
He started walking towards her room and knocked aggressively on the door.
"Hm?" she groaned.
He slammed the door open. "Why are-..."
He looked at her.
"What are you doing?" he asked.Tati laid there curled into a ball. She held tightly onto one of her pillows.
"You should be in the kitchen." he stated.
"That's sexist." she replied.
He rolled his eyes. "I'm hungry."
"I'm dying."
"What?"
"Leave me alone before I murder you."
Killian walked further into the room towards her bed. She opened her eyes and looked at him. "Whaaaattt?" she groaned.
He bent over and picked her up out of the bed. She was tossed over his shoulder.
"YOU CAN'T KEEP DOING THIS EVERY TIME YOU WANT ME TO GET UP!" she yelled.
He didn't answer and just walked out of the room.He noticed she wasn't fighting him.
"You're so warm..." she sighed.
He put her down in the kitchen.
"Look the other way." she commanded.
"Why?"
"Just do it." she groaned.
"Why?"
"Because I don't want you to see what I'm about to do. Now look that way."
He turned his head.
Tati made sure he wasn't looking at her then took his hand. She lifted her shirt slightly and pressed it against her stomach.
Killian's brows furrowed at the odd feeling. Tati took a deep breath with her eyes closed at the warm touch against her lower stomach.
"Don't turn around." she commanded.
"What the fuck are you doing?"
"Nothing."
He moved his thumb to try and feel the surface. His eye peaked and he saw her pressing his hand to her stomach.
She sighed.
He reluctantly looked the other way again.
"Are you sick?" she asked.
"What?"
"Your skin is hot. Do you have a cold?"
"No."
She took his hand off of her and opened her eyes as she dropped it.
"You can look now."
"Why did you do that?" he asked.
"I'm going back to bed. You'll have to feed yourself for breakfast and lunch. Hopefully I can make dinner." She started walking towards the room.Killian stared at the kitchen.
Then he looked back in the direction of her room.
Only to see that she laid on the floor in front of him.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?" he asked.
She was curled up again and holding her stomach. Wishing death upon herself.
"I can't walk. I'm just gonna lay here for a bit." she stated.
"Don't." he argued.
She groaned in response.
Killian rolled his eyes then walked over to her. He picked her up again in his arms. "I'm not gonna survive you livin' here."
He walked them back into her room then threw her on the bed.
"That hurt!" she yelled and curled up tighter.
He stared in confusion. Were there bricks in her mattress? How could that have hurt?
He assumed she really was dying. He took his phone out of his pants and dialed as he left her room.
"Yes, sir?" Worrick answered.
"The girl says she's dying. What do I do?"
"I'm sorry?"
"Stop her from dying."
"Dying of what? What are her symptoms?"
He thought about it. "She keeps curling into a ball. Said she can't walk and just laid on the floor. Said she's dying. And she made me hold her stomach."
"Did she eat anything she wasn't supposed to?"
"All she's eaten is shit she bought and cooked."
"Can she rate the pain 1-10?"
Killian walked back to her room. "Hey."
"Hm?" she mumbled.
"Rate your pain 1-10."
"Twelve."
"She said twelve."
"Well there's multiple things that it could be."
Killian waited for him to list them."You gonna tell me or I just gotta hear you breathe through the phone?"
"Sorry. To start, do you know if it's her menstrual cycle?" Worrick asked.
"Her what?"
"Her period, sir."Killian looked at her. "Hey."
"Whaaaattt?" she groaned.
"Are you on your period?"
"Yes! Now leave me alone!" she yelled and faced the other way."She said yea." Killian answered.
"Well then the best you can do is just ask her what she needs. Maybe pain relief medication or a warm compress if she's experiencing cramps which I'm sure is where the pain is coming from."
"I'm not a babysitter, Worrick."
"I understand, sir."
"You come do it."
"Um..."
"I'm at the house with her."
"Okay, but..."
"You gonna tell me no?"
"No, sir. But would she be comfortable with that?"
"It's either that or she dies."
"Well...she most likely won't die but...I'll be there shortly."
Killian hung up.He looked at Tati as she laid there in discomfort.
Should've told him to bring food on his way... he thought and left the room.
~•~
Killian was leaned against the kitchen counter as he waited for Worrick to leave Tati's room.
He came out holding a pillow.
"Why do you have that?" Killian asked.
"I was going to put it in your dryer. She said cuddling next to warm things helps the pain but she doesn't have a heating pad here. I just don't know what she'll do while it heats up. Pain relief medication doesn't work for her level of cramps as she said but I gave her just one just in case."
"Is that why she put my hand on her stomach?" Killian wondered.
Worrick was confused. Then he took Killian's hand. "Are you feeling sick?"
"No."
"Can I take your temperature?" He placed his bag on the kitchen counter to look for his thermometer.
"For what? I'm not sick. It's just how I am."
Worrick pressed the little thermometer gun up to Killian's forehead. He removed it once it beeped and read the numbers.
"98.7°(37°C). Hm."
"I told you I'm not sick." Killian stated.
"You exude a lot of body heat. Would you mind laying with Tatiana for a bit while this pillow warms up?"
"Why?"
"Your skin is warm. She'd enjoy that. You told me to take care of her. That would be taking care of her. Without anything, she'll just suffer for half an hour."
Killian sighed.
"I'm sure it's no different from usual."
"What?" Killian asked.
"You two..."
They stared at one another.
"I thought..."
Killian didn't budge.
"Well never mind then. Come this way."Worrick led the way as if Killian didn't know how to navigate through his own house.
"Tatiana." Worrick called.
"Hm?"
"Killian will lay with you while your pillow heats up. It'll only be half an hour."
"I didn't agree to that." Killian spoke up.
"Please?" Tati begged.
He looked at her, shocked she was okay with it.
"I'll be back soon." said Worrick. He left the room.Killian looked back at Tati.
"But don't do anything weird." Tati instructed.
"Shut up." He walked over to the bed and took off his slippers. She turned to face him as he climbed in.
"Don't touch me." she instructed as she got close to him.
"That's not possible."
"I meant with your hands."
He laid on his back and put his hands behind his head. Soon he felt her arms wrap around him and her body press against his.
Tati melted at the warmth and Killian just stared at the ceiling with her tied to him. She pressed her lower stomach closer to him to feel the heat better. And Killian just laid there, letting her get comfortable.
Worrick entered the room again.
"Her pillow is in the dryer. She should be fine in a few hours, hopefully the pill takes effect. I'll be leaving now."
Killian gave a nod.
"Let me know if you need anything else. Please make sure to eat and drink lots of water. I hope you feel better, Tati."
"Thank you, Worrick." Tati murmured with her head on Killian's chest.
His eyebrows furrowed as Worrick left."So he can call you Tati? You just fucking met him." Killian complained.
Tati snickered. "Are you jealous?"
"No, I don't care. Just think you're an asshole."
She laughed.
