Chapter 57

Whoa, when I got to Max's place, I was blown away. It's huge and fancy, almost like a freakin' mansion! I must say, his parents were such lovely people! They were kind enough to invite my family to stay at their home. However, when I saw so many people at his house it surprised me. After that Max explained to me that the people living in his home were part of his family even though they were not related by blood.

Max and I rode the elevator up to my room. Upon arrival, I noticed a grand, ornate door. Max demonstrated how to unlock it using his fingerprint and he registered my fingerprint into the system. We entered the luxurious penthouse and the interior was breathtaking everything was immaculately arranged. Max took me to my room everything was just as neat and spacious.

He helped me get out of the wheelchair and sit on the bed, before putting the wheelchair away. Then Max looked at me and asked," Jace do you want me to get something for you or do anything for you?". Well, it had been a while since I took a nice bath and the sponge bath was just not cutting it for me. Hmm...should I ask him if he can help me? But will that be a little bold I wonder? I hesitantly replied," Max please can you draw a bath for me, I am dying to have a relaxing bath. I hope I am not asking for too much and if you are not comfortable doing it I can ask somebody else".

"Sure thing, Jace," Max replied with a smile. "I'll take care of it. Just give me a few minutes and I'll come back for you." He headed to the walk-in closet to grab some clothes and then made his way to the bathroom. While he was gone, I took a moment to survey the room. The French windows were massive and there was a cozy seating area in front of them. A large flat-screen TV sat across from the king-sized bed, which looked incredibly comfortable. There was even a desk and chair in one corner of the room, and several paintings adorned the walls.

Max was back after a couple of minutes and picked me up to take me to the bathroom. Oh man, the bathroom was another story. It had a jacuzzi, bathtub and shower with two double sinks. The set of clothes was neatly kept on the counter and Max gently set me on the counter. Max glanced at me and said," Let me help you get undressed so that you can take a relaxing bath. Don't worry I won't look at anything you don't want me to see ok, let me know if you are in pain at any time".

Max was gentle as he slowly undressed me and avoided looking at my privates when he took off my boxers. I was kind of embarrassed but glad that he was being respectful toward me. Once I was completely undressed Max helped me get into the bathtub and I noticed that it was filled with bubbles. Ah, this is bliss a nice warm bath and it kind of smells like lavender what could be better than this?

I saw Max walk towards the sink and open the cupboard below and take out a sponge. Then he came over and started to rub my back with the soapy sponge. My shoulder was still hurting a bit, but I did not want to tell him since it would worry him. Plus I was the one who suggested taking a bath in the first place. After he was done washing my back he moved to the front. Those weird electric sparks were still all over my body whenever Max touched my body, it felt pretty soothing but I could feel my body was getting excited.

Ugh, my hormones are acting up and it's making things a bit awkward. Max just finished washing my chest and arms and I caught him taking a deep breath. I hope he's not uncomfortable with this. I feel so bad for asking him to help me out. What should I do now? I glanced at him hesitantly and said," Max are you ok? If you don't feel like doing this you can go back, I will manage in here somehow".

Max stopped moving for a second and replied," Don't worry Jace I am fine, it's just a little warm in here that's all. Once we are done in here I will be alright so let's focus on the task at hand". After that Max resumed his actions and just watched him working on my body. He let me sit in the soapy water for a bit, before shampooing my hair carefully. Ah, it feels so good to have someone wash your hair. Finally, he was done with rinsing my hair and it was squeaky clean. Then he drained the tub and helped me rinse my body before walking toward the cabinet to grab a towel.

He helped me stand up and lean against him as he gently wiped my body. Once my body was almost dry he wrapped the towel around my waist before picking me up and carrying me. He set me on the counter and then helped me get dressed, the whole time he did this I was completely red in the face with embarrassment. I noticed that Max's clothes were damp and he was sweating like crazy. So I told him," Max your clothes are drenched I think you remove your shirt so that you don't feel uncomfortable".

He seemed a little hesitant but I nodded my head to tell him that it was ok with me. Then he removed his shirt and now I was looking at his bare upper body. Wow, he had a nice body, lean but muscular plus he was very strong. I had the urge to touch his body the more I saw it in front of me. No no Jace what are you thinking? Control your self but before you know I reached out and touched his chest.

Max shuddered as my fingers gently ran over his chest and abs, I glanced at his face to see his expression. He was staring right at me and I could see that his eyes were filled with desire, but he was trying to hold himself back. I felt his heart rate pick up and his breathing became slightly heavy. I slid my hand up slowly till it reached his neck and pulled it forward till he reached my height. Max was patient and let me do what I wanted to do so I took advantage.

I leaned forward and pressed my lips against his and he kissed me back. Hot damn was his lips addictive that I just could not get enough. Max wrapped his arms around my waist till I was flush against his body and there was hardly any space between us. The kiss was becoming more intense and I tugged his hair before wrapping my legs around his waist. Max gently lifted my body from the counter and started walking out of the bathroom without breaking the kiss.

He laid me on the bed with him on top of me, he broke the kiss and said," I think we should stop Jace, if we continue I won't be able to control myself. You need to heal first and I am sure you are not ready to take the next step with me yet. We can do this some other time alright". I was reluctant to do so but I knew what he said was right, all of this was happening in the heat of the moment. I need to focus on healing first and also give myself time to think about the next steps in our relationship.
