Chapter 59

Jason

Max and I were the first people to finish shopping, so we sat on one of the benches inside the store. Max excused himself to go to the restroom and told me to stay close to Logan and Miles. While I waited for Max to come back from the restroom, I heard some commotion outside the store. Some customer was arguing with an employee it was something about exchanging some item. Soon the customer started to act rashly with the store associate so I decided to intervene.

I walked up to the customer and said," Hey please can you stop behaving like this here, you are making a scene. Please can you calm down and then resolve the issue there is no point in acting rashly with an employee". The customer came up to me and grabbed the collar of my shirt and replied," It's none of your business ok, just get lost. I have other things to do too and you are just delaying me". Before I could respond to him the manager had already arrived to sort out the issue.

The employee was the same one who was helping Max with his outfits, he seemed like a nice guy. Suddenly I felt an arm on my waist and I could feel the sparks ah it's Max he was back from the restroom. I heard him say," Jace I am back what's going on here? Did you get hurt anywhere?". I explained the situation to Max and he looked at David before saying," Well I am glad that the two of you are ok. Jace it's time for us to leave all our friends done with their shopping". Just then our friends walked over with bags in their hands and the moment Raven looked at David she dropped her bags on the floor and her eyes changed into a different colour.

I can hardly believe my eyes! Could it be true that her eyes changed colours? Max and Erik exchanged happy glances while Roxanne and Oliver couldn't stop beaming. Maybe it's love at first sight for her. I'm overjoyed that she's found someone special, especially since Roxanne and she were the only ones without partners. Raven immediately walked up to David to talk to him. The rest of us decided to give them some privacy and went towards the entrance of the store.

A few minutes later Erik's phone buzzed and he quickly glanced at the text and kept the phone back in his pocket. He turned to us and said," Raven texted me saying that she will join us a little later". All of us decided to go and grab something to eat in the meantime since it was already lunchtime. We went towards the food court and grabbed a place to sit first since it was a little crowded. Max told me to sit and wait while he got our orders and Erik told the same thing to Oliver so we told them our orders.

Oliver was looking at his phone while I just glanced around the food court. Suddenly I saw Jessica standing near the ice cream shop. Oh no, what is she doing here? I turned to tell Oliver about her and glanced back to see if she was still there. However, she was nowhere to be seen, maybe my eyes were playing tricks on me. Oliver looked up from his phone and said," Jace are you ok? You look slightly pale is it the heat or is it the AC in the mall? Do you want me to hand you a jacket?". I shook my head and replied," No it's nothing I am fine I will be ok after I eat something".

I did not want to worry anyone since all of us were having a good time after so long. Plus it might have been my imagination, but I will keep an eye out just in case. The boys and Roxanne were back with food in their hands. Erik and Max handed us our food before taking a seat next to us. We were halfway through our lunch when Raven joined us at the table with a huge smile on her face. Erik looked at Raven and said," Someone seems very happy, so tell us what happened after we left".

Raven replied," Um...I asked David a little about himself and we decided to go out on a date. I know it seems a bit rushed, but I could not help it alright". Soon Roxanne and Raven were talking about shopping for some clothes for her date. While the rest of us chatted about how we should welcome David when he comes to take Raven on a date. Raven rolled her eyes when she heard us talking about what we were going to David. She knew that we were not serious, but there is no harm in getting to know his intentions with her.

After lunch, the girls headed into another store to buy a few more things. Logan and Miles went along with them, while we headed into another store too. I bought a couple of T-shirts and I saw a section with some sexy underwear. I picked up some of them and quickly paid for them before Max could see them. I don't know what is happening to me but I can't help my sexual urges around Max anymore. My wild and kinky side is coming out when I am around him. I have never been like that in my past relationships, Max brings out a side of me that I have never shown anybody else.

Once I was done with my shopping I joined Max and told him to hold on to my bags while I go to the restroom. Max offered to come with me but I told him there was no need since the restroom was just across the store and I would be out soon. Max was reluctant to let me go alone but he agreed and told me to be quick. I rushed into the restroom and since it did not have many people, I was done pretty fast. When I was washing my hands in the sink I felt a presence behind me.

When I looked up in the mirror I saw it was the same customer who I had met in H&M. He smiled at me and took out a syringe from his pocket. I elbowed his stomach and ran towards the door. The guy quickly grabbed my t-shirt and pulled me back and before I could do anything else, I felt a needle prick my neck and I fell unconscious.
