Unwanted Affection (UNDER EDITING)

"I had a great time today, thank you Selvi." The girl leaves a kiss on my cheek before hopping out of the car. I blush at the contact, now starting to feel myself stiffen. She waves at Miles through the window, so the boy gives her a smile in return.

I watch her walk inside the house before I drive off. I lowkey had fun today, she's funny, kind, stubborn, she's also really smart. At first, I thought that when I finally got to know her, I wouldn't like her anymore. Now I just want to find out more about the sexy woman.

"Can she be my best friend now?" The little boy slurs out, trying to fight his sleep. "Of course, she can Miles." I chuckle to myself, knowing the boy is not going to stop talking about her for a while.

It was currently 9 pm, I would say we got a lot done today. We went to eat, then went to an amazing ice cream parlor she picked out, went to the park and watched her and Miles argue over the swings, and lastly we stopped at "Barbs n' Knowables" so Deteli could give Miles and me a storytime.

I finally pull into my parking space and look back to see a slumped Miles. I take a picture of the boy, finding his current state hilarious before carrying him into the apartment.

I wake the boy up telling him to change into his pj's while I get his bed together. I pull out the bed that's inside the couch, and I put his lion king comforter on it before bringing out some new pillows brought for the boy.

I watch the boy rub his eyes as he walks back into the living room after getting changed. "You want some popcorn?" The boy nods his head answering my question, before he lays down on the newly made bed.

"I want to watch a movie," I hear Miles say as I'm seasoning the popcorn. I turn off the lights as I walk back into the living room before taking my place next to the boy. "Wanna' watch Cars 2?" I ask the boy as I watch him stick his hands in the bowl of popcorn.

"You already know" the boy mutters struggling to down the popcorn. I laugh at the sight before going to the movie.

"It's boring having no friends, having no one to talk about your day with. Well I can talk to you and Selvi, but I can't talk to a guy about himself. It doesn't make sense!" My cat stares at me before jumping off my stomach and walking out the door.

"Fuck you too then! I'm just kidding, you know I love you girl." My cat meows at me before I hear scratching in her litter box.

I blocked Stacey ever since the party. Which was kind of irrational, but why would she invite Timothy? Maybe I misunderstood, I'll just speak with her tomorrow.

I start giggling before closing my eyes, It's a day after the "date" with Selvi and I can't get it out of my head. His puffy pink lips, his dark eyes, the way his toned muscles were showing through that fitted black shirt. I groan at the fact that I can't have him. It's way too soon, and he probably wants to keep it casual. I could barely even sleep thinking about the fun I had with him. I think I'm developing a crush on the man. I don't know, there's just something about a man who's good with kids that just does it for me.

Then his little brother Miles is so adorable. I'm having major baby fever right now. I receive a text from my man that's not my man. It's a simple "good morning" text so I heart his message but before I can respond I hear a knock at my door.

I get up and walk up to the door with my booty shorts and sports bra on. I ask "Who is it?" but I get no response in return. I look through the peephole to see a package and open the door. I pick it up before closing the door behind me and taking my place on the couch.

I open the cardboard box to see a shoe case. Instead of shoes inside, there's a note. I read the note out loud and my face falls.

"A restraining order isn't going to keep me away from you." I instantly balled up the piece of paper and threw it on the floor.

This bitch is crazy. I sigh, remembering how I stupidly texted my ex and told him if he comes around me again I'll file a restraining order. Which kept him away thus far, but I should've just filed it and let time take its course.

Shit, I'll do it today then, I don't got time to waste. I already know this man is willing to hurt me. I'm not scared to fight back either, but I'd rather not have bruises on my beautiful face.

I walk back to the car now holding a form the judge gave me to fill out. I take a deep ass breath before starting the car. I had to order temporary protection, so the judge can work quicker.

I already know this is going to be a long ass process, that I do not want to go through.

Then the judge said I need physical evidence. Can I just show her the messages of him threatening me? Fuck it, I'll worry about it later. Let me text Selvi back.

I look at the message from my girl and smile. I heart her message making sure that I'll FaceTime her later.

"I want to go see her!" the boy looks up at me while jumping up and down in his red Crocs. "We can't right now, you have to go home," I tell the boy before sliding his jacket on him.

"But Daddy doesn't even like me!" The boy pouts while balling his little fist. "That's not true, he just doesn't like your actual mother," I explain while dusting him off.

"Reminds him of his past in France.." I roll my eyes as I whisper to myself. "Well, it's not fair." The boy crosses his arms before stomping out the door.

In all honesty, I feel bad for my brother. He's stuck in a house with a stepmom who barely tries and a father who always throws a pissy fit. I would let Miles live with me, but I'm not stable enough to raise a kid. Mentally.

HEYY GUYS! Let's ignore my spelling errors okay? I need to get my update schedule together. I think I'm going to do shorter chapters. But then again idk, because I just love reading long chapters myself. Imma gets started on this next chapter. Happy 4th of July!
