Survival

I woke up to the harsh rays of the sun shining down upon me.
(Yawn... Uhh..ow)
I sat up and stretched. The sun so bright but thankfully, I am a deep sleeper. I was still tired though. The rocks u slept on were still hard.
(Ow...ugh)
My whole body was in pain especially my back.

I dragged my tired body off of the mountain of the ruins. I noticed the tiny space I was trapped in had collapsed overnight.

I thankfully escaped when I did. The pain was immense as my wounds were still not healed and I had slept on a hard surface. I can hardly feel anything when I sleep, its just like i'm in a pool and it's so relaxing. I sometimes wish I could sleep forever.

(Throb)
It hurt, but I had no right to complain; after all, it was a miracle I even survived this long.

I reached the bottom and looked at the buildings. Some broken while others were completely flattened.

It seems there was a natural disaster. The words spinned in my head and I experienced the greatest headache of my life.

What's happening? Where am I? Where is this? I was just..just.Where?Where was I last? Just what is going on! My head filled with questions.

It dawned on me then...

I couldn't remember anything. I remembered bits and pieces, but nothing seemed complete. There was no start or end, just some random things and places.

(Throb.. Throb)
I winced. My head started to hurt. I have always had a short term but great memory. This wasn't usual.

(Growwwwl..)
I became flushed.
I hadn't eaten in days and the headache wasn't helping.
I have to eat, I can think later. After all I have all the time in the world, now.

I decided.
My first priority should be survival. But what could I ever find in this massive dump of heavy rocks and rods?

The first thing I had to do was to find water.
