Felix aggressively buttered a piece of slightly burnt toast, his jaw clenched and his mind elsewhere. He really wanted what Hyunjin and himself had to be honest, real and true.
It felt so pure, so fucking special, he hadn't realised Hyunjin still just wanted to win the show. Felix slowly spread some jam over the toast and brought it to his mouth, taking a small bite.
He chewed glumly, his mind turning blank. His moment of silence didn't last long when Hyunjin burst in, looking at him in a panic.
"Felix- hey.. please let me explain, Jisung didn't know the full conte-"
"Enough. I don't want to hear it."
"But Lix-"
"No."
Felix tossed his unfinished toast in the bin and made his way to their bedroom, slamming the door behind him. Hyunjin stood there, feeling his heart breaking all over again. He knew it was his fault, but he just couldn't handle Felix hating him.
Hyunjin took a deep breath before slowly opening their bedroom door. Felix glanced at him, clenching his jaw before throwing miscellaneous objects at him. "Get.. out!" He whined, eventually giving up and sobbing.
Hyunjin removed his hands from guarding his face and walked towards the younger male. "Hey, Felix. Please let me explain-"
"Okay."
"Okay? Okay what?"
"Explain."
Hyunjin nodded, clearing his throat and sitting down beside Felix on the bed. "Well, what Jisung told you, it was a conversation I had with Minho a while ago.. I feel completely different now. I've uh, I've actually signed the form to quit the show, they just need your confirmation." Hyunjin explained, taking Felix's hand in his own.
Felix paused, glancing at Hyunjin. "You- you what?" He repeated, holding back tears. Hyunjin sighed, fishing around in his pocket until he pulled out a neatly folded piece of paper. He handed it to Felix, nodding.
The blonde male slowly unfolded the paper, scanning the page and gasping. "You're serious about this?" Felix replied, his eyes welling up with tears.
Hyunjin nodded,
"as long as you're with me, darling.".
"Always."
The pair hugged, Felix placing a chaste kiss to the elders lips.
Hyunjin pulled back, smiling widely. "So, do you want to quit? Maybe come live with me- when you're comfortable of course-"
"I would love to." Felix whispered, picking up the paper and scribbling his signature in the bottom corner.
Hyunjin chuckled, scooping Felix up into his arms. "Come on, let's go tell Jisung and Minho." He murmured, making Felix nod happily.
Hyunjin gently placed Felix down as he knocked on the door of cabin two, waiting patiently as an irritated Minho swung it open.
"Hyunjin I swear to fucking god if you come here one more-" Minho spoke as he opened the door, pausing as he noticed the beaming couple. "Hyung, we are quitting the show!" Hyunjin whisper-yelled. Minho's eyes widened, "really? you're really going to quit?"
Jisung slowly approached, raising a brow. "Quit what?" He questioned, leaning against Minho's broad frame. It was Felix's turn to smile and giggle like a kid this time as he announced they were going to go home.
"Really?? But I'll miss you so much!" Jisung whined, hugging Felix tightly. Felix smiled, nodding. "I'll miss you too, let's go on a double date when the show is finished?" Felix proposed, making Jisung nod excitedly.
Felix giggled, "you guys better win! I'll see you both soon!" He whisper-cheered. Minho and Jisung chuckled, waving as the pair continued the walk through the palm-framed path.
Felix held Hyunjins sleeve slightly as they passed Chans cabin. "Babe, I just want to say goodbye."
"Alright."
Hyunjin followed closely behind Felix to the cabin door and watched as he knocked. Chan emerged shortly after, Seungmin clinging onto his arm. He smiled, hugging Felix tightly.
"So, I take it you two made up then?"
"Yup"
Felix was beaming, making Seungmin and Hyunjin smile faintly to themselves. Chan was bouncing off the walls when he heard the news.
"You're leaving? So you two are really?- oh my god!" He chattered, looking behind Felix at Hyunjin who shot him an apologetic smile.
Chan grinned, "good luck to you both, and Hyunjin, I'm sorry about everything." The eldest confessed, rubbing his nape awkwardly. Hyunjin smiled, "no worries man, sorry too.".
Felix glanced between the two, giggling happily. Seungmin was the next to turn sappy, bringing Felix into a warm hug. "I'm so sorry." He mumbled, pulling back to look at Felix. The blonde male shook his head, "it's alright! Really!!" He replied, patting Seungmins shoulder.
Hyunjin clapped, "alrighty, they said the boat departs at 10:45, so we better hand in the form and then pack our shit." he suggested, smiling at Felix.
The blonde grinned, linking arms with Hyunjin, "yeah, let's do that.".
- back at the cabin -
Felix was hastily shoving his clothes into his suitcase which was practically bursting at the seams. Hyunjin was finished, trying to help the younger pack, but Felix insisted he rest.
"You're still sick y'know, sit down." Felix pleaded, placing a soft kiss on the elder males lips. Hyunjin didn't take much convincing, though he tried to help here and there.
Felix finally zipped up his suitcase, glancing around to see if they had forgotten anything. He sighed, checking the time.
"Alright it's ten-thirty now, we have fifteen minutes. Let's get going, hm?" He suggested, approaching Hyunjins chair. The elder nodded, smiling up at Felix.
They gathered their suitcases and bags, heading along the pathway to where they could see a little sea-plane. Felix glanced at Hyunjin in surprise, "I thought it was a boat?" He stammered, holding his hand over his mouth.
Hyunjin grinned, "Well it was, but I organised for my jet to come here so we can go straight to my place.". Felix looked at the raven-haired male in shock. "But- Hyunjin!" He giggled, blushing as the said male took his hands, kissing them both.
"Felix, I never directly asked, so here goes- will you the love of my life, be my boyfriend?" Hyunjin asked, biting his lip nervously. Felix smiled widely, "of course! Of course I will! I love you so fucking much-" Felix spluttered, falling into silence as Hyunjin kissed him.
They shared a quiet moment of passion, the waves crashing against the shore, overshadowing the outside noise. Hyunjin pulled back, pressing his forehead against the blondes. "Come on, let's go home.".
