"Granger you need to stop breathing so fucking loudly." Hermione rolled her eyes as Draco said yet another thing trying to hurt her feelings. At this point she had become numb to his insults. After five years, going on six, she had become used to it all, including mudblood. She actually found it amusing to give him the silent treatment. After doing it the first time, she had found it riled him up having been ignored by her. It was becoming her favorite pastime...not that she told anyone that. It also didn't help that as of recently she begun to find the bloody idiot attractive. For some reason she was starting to believe she had a degradation kink or something. She couldn't help that he'd caught her eye with how reclusive and sickly he'd become. She knew she was lying to herself when she said it was simply Harry asking her to keep an eye on him.

Moving her wand around to check the dark corners of the dungeon floor, she waited for his next insult. As prefects, they had been assigned to do rounds together. She wondered why, but came to the conclusion Maurice wanted to punish her for saying no to his advances. Maurice Silsbee was head boy this year and a rat. He disgusted Hermione to no end, but that didn't stop him. He had been attempting to make his move on her since her third year. Every time, no matter how hard he tried, she always said no. This last time resulted in Ginny Weasley hexing him with her bat bogey hex for harassment. Ginny had happily served that detention.

"Will you stop stomping your giant feet? Gods you are so loud and annoying," Draco sneered. He had wanted to strangle that git of a head boy the moment he saw her name on the chart beside his. He just had to get stuck with the know it all that was Hermione fucking Granger. The know it all who had him questioning everything since 4th year started...now they were here. When Hermione did not respond he grew even more agitated than before. 'How dare she ignore me' he had thought to himself. The fun part of this was her rebuttals...no response from her made him hate himself even more. He wasn't sure why he even attempted to keep the insults up when no one was around...maybe he was still trying to convince himself he was still that foul boy from before. Before he could give it another go, Hermione stopped and turned toward a dark alcove.

"Nott, Parkinson, ten points each from Slytherin house for being out past curfew. Five points each for indecent exposure as well." Draco turned to see Hermione shining her lumos spell at two of his friends. He wished he could delete the sight of the two tangled up in the alcove half naked, but he was scarred. At this point, it was a welcome change to the many things haunting him at the moment.

"Draco, tell her she can't do that!" Pansy had yelled attempting to cover herself up. In reality he wished he could, but with the magic they had, the points were already gone once she had spoken.

"Pans, get your ass back to the common room." He sighed. He watched the two rush back toward the Slytherin dorms and rolled his eyes. "I believe I will need to report you for that." Hermione just scoffed. At that sound he spun toward her happy to have a response finally. "Something funny?"

"Yes actually," Hermione said watching the anger in his eyes. "Do tell why you will report me?"

"Misuse of the house point system to get your own house ahead," Draco said smirking. The smirk fell when Hermione began laughing in his face. He looked at her confused.

"I'm sorry," she gasped out. "You know, I didn't realize you could joke." Hermione offered him a sickly sweet smile causing his insides to turn. He shook his head hardening his glare.
