Hermiones POV
"Well that plan went to shit real quick," Theo groaned falling down onto the cot in our tent. It had been two weeks since we left the safe house in London. No member of the order knew where were, except Ginny. We had disappeared without a word to anyone. Originally I wanted to tell Remus and Tonks, but Ron of all people had made a very good point.
"What if they were to get captured while we were gone? Then Voldemort would know we were hunting the items that keep him strong. Our whole plan would be screwed."
I had felt like such an idiot to have Ronald Weasley point that out to me. Ginny knew, but she wouldn't be as far into the fighting as the other two with her being so young. Her parents weren't letting her go back to Hogwarts either. Ron had left after the first week after a temper tantrum. I was pissed when he returned, but thankful at the same time. It was because of him we knew about the taboo.
"It was so simple, how did we fuck it up?" Harry asked sitting down. Our plan to break into Gringotts had gone down the drain as soon as we started. We planned to use the invisibility cloak to sneak in two people, while the other two stood guard in the alleyway ready for anything. Unfortunately, today was the day Diagon Alley was crawling with death eaters. They had caught sight of me and immediately sounded the alarm. We barely got out of there in one piece. Theo had a cut on his forehead where he had run into some brick trying to evade a couple death eaters. It was something I could laugh at now.
"Mione how did we get the goblet from the memories you saw?" I tensed staring at Ron once he asked the question. The three men stared back waiting for an answer. I sighed pushing Theo's legs down so I could sit on the cot next to him.
"I guess I will have to tell you since it will more than likely happen..." Ron and Harry sat down in front of the cot like two children ready for a story. "In the memories, we weren't shown exactly how we got the locket, but we were shown everything else. The only reason we know there is a horcrux in Bellatrix's vault, is because she led us to it."
"What do you mean?" Harry asked. Theo's hand landing on my knee. I didn't notice it was bouncing until he stopped it. He nodded his head in encouragement. He could tell already that this was not something I wanted to bring up.
"At one point, we slip up. We get caught by snatchers and taken to Malfoy Manor. At that point we have the sword of Gryffindor, I'm not sure how we got it. But, Bellatrix loses her shit thinking we stole it from her vault. She-" I stopped chewing on my lip. This memory wasn't the worse we saw, but it hurt. "She separates us and tortures me to find answers. Draco has to stand there and watch. He can't do anything. When she doesn't get the answers she's looking for...she carves mudblood into my arm." Harry sucked in a sharp breath. Ron's face looked like one of anger at the idea of it all. Not one of them were able to respond when Ron's radio static changed to a voice.
"We bring you a new update in the coming times. Undesirable one through four were sighted today in Diagon Alley up to nefarious activities. If you have any information on their whereabouts, please contact the Department of Magical Law Enforcement immediately. The undesirables are as followed, Undesirable #1, Harry Potter, half-blood. Undesirable #2 Hermione Granger, muggle born. Undesirable #3 Ronald Weasley, pureblood. Undesirable #4 Theodore Nott Jr, pureblood. Theordore Nott Jr is now considered a blood traitor after he faked his own death and defected to join Harry Potter in his plot to bring down the ministry. Please contact the Department of Magical Law Enforcement with any updates you may have." The static returned.
"Well..." Theo said running a hand over his face. "My death didn't last long," he chuckled. I smiled hearing him laugh lightly at his own words. The smiles disappeared not even two seconds later.
