THE TROJAN HORSE
╚════*.·:·.☽✧ ✦ ✧☾.·:·.*════╝
The fact that the abandon house on the hill has nickname Taehyun's dream house clearly implies that more that once he imagined, dreamed about the moment he finally put his foot on the property.
Well, of course he's kinda been there before. Even if he exclude the latest fiasco, what's the only reasonable word to call his first meeting with Beomgyu at backyard, neither he nor his mom could count all the situations where local authorities had to walk him home after he was caught tresspassing as a kid and later as a teeneager. There isn't really much explanation to it - apart from the fact that Taehyun was weirdly intrigued by the house since really young age.
It doesn't help that the house always just was there, taunting him with it's presence, always in Taehyun's sight, but never close enough for him to reach. Cause it doesn't matter that he's kinda been there before, snuking into gardens around, he's never before enter the house.. And yeah, after he and his dreams were being brought down way too many times, Taehyun like to think that that's how he has to stay - down to earth. But part of him, probably that inner child who created all those dreams in the first place can't help but irracionaly romanticize the place - the abandoned house, The Taehyun's dream house being only constant in his life, the only thin thread left connecting him with the naive, hot-headed kid he once used to be.
But now the house isn't an abandoned one anymore, fck that, he shouldn't even call it The Taehyun's house anymore, not when it very much belongs to Beomgyu and Taehyun can't help but feel like something has been taken from him.
The feeling hits him twice as hard today, as he passes the gate to Beomgyu's house, Wooyoung shoe still stuck at the top of it, making Taehyun's blood boil even more. But all of the anger and frustration doesn't quite make it to his face, not now, not when he's here with clear purpouse and meticulous plan.
Today The Trojan Horse operation starts. And Taehyun can't help but feel smug while confidently knocking on Beomgyu's door, cause in this case the role of Trojan Horse is played but no one other but Taehyun himself.
He hears the commotions behind the door, starting from barking dog, ending on noises of... way too many locks. And after a while, a little bit long while for only opening the door, Beomgyu's face showes up.
At least as much as little creek can show, cause Beomgyu is just peeking through it, Taehyun noticing that the door are only slightly open due to little door chain still not being unlocked.
"Did you buy every lock in Gongjin, or what?" Taehyun slips out before he could bite his tongue, cause it's clear that little incident with Hoongjoong and Wooyoung from few days ago resulted into that all additional safety locks on the door. Bold choice for someone who lives in the house with most of its window broken anyway, but Taehyun is not here to mock.
He's here with peace offering, to hand out an olive branch. He will make up the mockery part later, when he rubs into Yeonjun's and Kai's faces that his latest plan wasn't an complete flop - making Beomgyu shooked enough to invest in some self preservation.
"Why do you care?" No hello, no hi, Beomgyu clearly feels like he should keep Taehyun's level of hostility to face this conversation.
"I..." Taehyun scratches the back of his head, cause they can't really go futher like that, not if he wants his new plan to work. "Can I come in?"
