What do you mean the beginning? Jeoju asks Heeseung, following the body of water. She stops in her steps, waiting for a reply; nothing.
"Heeseung?" Jeoju tiptoes as she calls out his name, wondering if he really is close by as he claims.
"Heeseung, are you there? Heeseung, please ans---"
Jeoju feels her body being pulled away, as a hand is hovered over her mouth, thrashing in silence.
Heeseung takes his hand away, turning her body towards him, putting a finger over his mouth, telling her to keep quiet. Jeoju tries to catch her breath, her hands on her chest as she quietly heaves.
"You can speak now."
Jeoju sighs loud, panting heavier than before as she's able to breathe comfortably.
"Why'd you do that to me?"
"You were too loud, I couldn't listen to the water."
"You think this is funny, don't you? Heeseung, what would you have done if it had been serious?"
"I would've killed them."
Jeoju looks into his eyes, they're glowing again. She wonders what they'd look like if they weren't red. Jeoju's breathing steadies, ready to carry a conversation with the telepath male.
"Why do your eyes glow and the others dont?"
Heeseung looks down at his feet before putting his hand out, offering for Jeoju to take it.
"You like to dance, don't you?"
"It's my job."
"Then let's dance," he states, dragging Jeoju to the water with him. She quickly tugs her hand away.
"Heeseung, I can't, I'm not properly dressed."
"That makes two of us, Your Highness."
Jeoju looks at what he's wearing; a flowy white top tucked into a black pant, barefoot as he puts one foot in the cool water.
Compared to what she's wearing, he's one to be not properly dressed, considering Jeoju to still stand in her rehearsal dress, a white knee-length dress, the shoulder straps barely hanging on, her feet blackened from the floor.
"It's not deep, Jeoju, I promise," Heeseung stands in the middle of the thigh-high water, dampening his body as he splashes himself.
Jeoju takes off her cape, carefully putting it to the side to make sure it doesn't emerge itself before slipping her tights off.
Heeseung holds out his hand for Jeoju to reach, who takes her time crossing the water, inhaling each step of the way, surprised by the cool temperature.
Jeoju trips forward towards Heeseung, who is lucky enough to catch her, his cold hands touching the soft of her back, sending harsh shivers down her spine.
"You okay?" Heeseung barely whispers, Jeoju taking deep breaths as she holds onto Heeseung, "Yea, it'll just take a minute to get used to, but your hands are cold."
Heeseung gently leads Jeoju through the water at a slow pace, his eyes not leaving hers, their feet going left and right. Left and right. Left and right.
Each step they took, Jeoju shivered in Heeseung's arms, trying to pull her closer to him to create body heat. He can feel her blood pulsing at an intense speed in his hands.
Heeseung leans next to Jeoju's ear, whispering slightly, "Just breathe."
