When You're Insecure (Males)

Too the requester, I'm kinda mid at writing about insecurities about bodies, so I'm gonna write different kinds of insecurities that the reader would have. Hope you don't mind.

He noticed your demeanor to be sadder than how you usually act. He grew concerned, since now you were being quieter than he was. He asked you about it eventually, and you tried to rub it off, but he kept insisting you tell him. You gave in and broke down, saying you don't understand why he would date someone like you and that he deserved so much better. He grabbed your shoulders and told you to breathe. "Y/n, Look at me. There is no one that I would rather date other than you. You are the best gift that the goddesses could have ever given me." He held you as you cried into him.

Daruk:

When he heard you were insecure about your body. He was confused, but he was comforting as hell. Always complimenting you, flirting sometimes, and say basically just how amazing you are. You always felt pleased with the things he said.

Revali:

For you, it was actually your skills. You're a scientist you know, but you were also a Sheikah. Who are known for stealthy attacks and at least able to defend themselves. You were attacked MUTIPLE times when researching, to which Revali would save you all the time. You hated this. You hated being weak. You hated as you had to watch your lover always protect you, you knew it had to be tiring for him as you put him down. So, you decided to start training. The training that you were doing however was too much for you since you were doing bigger stunts way too early. You ended up passing out in the field and once again, Revali had to find the damsel/dam in distress. You broke down when you woke up to which Revali was confused. Confused on why you would be so hard on yourself and why you even decided to do what you did.

You explained your situation, and how you felt bad with putting him down all the time. He sighed and held you in his embrace. "You are never putting me down and you are never a distraction. Would I rather you not do reckless things, yes, but don't blame it on yourself for needing help. I remember someone saying when I first met them, how everyone needs help at some point, and you shouldn't be ashamed of it. So don't put yourself down." After you calmed down, he offered to help you train to be able to defend for yourself, and you accepted.

Sooga:

Insecurities were about the same reasons as Revali's. You hated the fact Sooga had to come to your rescue all the time. Sooga in comfort to this decided to ask if you wanted to train more. And also said it's alright if you need help, and he doesn't mind helping you at all. He's just more than happy to know that you are alright.

King Rhoam:

Your insecurities are self-doubt. You don't think you're the best girlfriend/boyfriend for the LITERAL KING OF HYRULE. Why would he pick you? Not to mention there was a late queen, she probably did better than you are anyway. When Rhoam learned about how you felt. He told you that he would always miss his deceased wife, but he was blessed on how he met you. He said he was sure that his wife would've wanted him to be happy, and this was what she wanted for him. He never regrets the day he asked you to be his partner.

Sidon:

(Before I continue this. I just found out something shocking....

THIS MAN HAS A FUCKIN WIFE. WTF, THIS BITCH PULLED THIS MANY. WIFE IS DEAD, I MADE FISH STICKS OUT OF HERE AND SQUEEZED THE LEMON ON TOP. I THEN FED THAT SHIT TO MY DOG AND STUFFED THE REMAININGS INTO MY HOMIES ASS.

Same as Rhoam almost. Except, you see how some of the Zoras look at you in disgust and envy. You could hear them talk behind your back, saying how Sidon could do so much better than you, and it made you feel guilty. Sidon noticed how you were being more quiet than usual, and you told him what happened. He was bewildered, how his people could treat you like that. You were nothing but kind to them, and this was how they treated you? He embraced you and told you that everything that they said was not true. They were jealous because you have something amazing, and they can't accept that.

Yunobo:

He was shocked to hear that you were insecure about your body. It was something he definitely wasn't expecting from you in the least. He would say the most highest compliments to make you feel better since he didn't really know what to say in that moment. "That's not true at all! Y-you're amazing, beautiful/handsome, kind, talented, etc." He would make more of those compliments, but all those things he would say were always true.

Teba:

Oh yeah, he's good at comforting when it comes that stuff. He holds you close and says compliments to make you feel better about yourself. Tulin would also join by saying he's inspired by you. It's sweet.

Astor:

Bro is bewildered. He was surprised to hear that you were insecure about your body. He wanted to bitch slap you at first for saying such nonsense, but hears what you think about yourself. He tells you what your thinking is just nonsense, and says that there is so much about you that you don't see.

Kohga:

He...uh...he won't admit it, but he does feel your pain, about your body. Before he became the handsome, manly, burly, person he is today, he use to be insecure as well, since people would misunderstand his powers and such. He would hug the shit out of you and say that none of what you said was true and say lovey things to you till he made you believe it.

King Dorephan:

You were insecure just like Rhoam, the fact the king chose you. Why? You were just like everyone else. You had to talk with him about it since the thoughts were really getting to you. He told you how he picked you for a reason, and wouldn't change a thing about that. He loves you for being you, and that's not what everyone has at all. You're your own special person. 

Robbie:

You were insecure about your smarts. You thought you were stupid because of a lot of problems you couldn't figure out. Robbie noticed how stressed you were, and he told you that you were smart and not everyone can know everything. Just to prove it, he explained some situations he's been in because he couldn't solve it right away. He always needed to ask Purah and sometimes your help. You're intelligent and worth it.
