part 1 - prologue

I am no stranger to having a crush on someone.

I'll admit it, I might've fangirled over Tanjiro once... maybe twice.  Okay, just hear me out. There is absolutely no reason why he had to walk around the school with messy hair and look so hot! But, I'm not a homewrecker. I don't fuck with Kanao's crush. That being said, I did accidentally mess around with Nezuko's crush once, but he's not my type.

Okay, but like actually listen. Recently, there's been this guy at school that I haven't been able to take my eyes off of. You need to actually see him to understand, but lemme like describe him. Long, black hair with teal tips... thoughtless blue eyes... Just thinking about him makes me wanna fold myself in half and die. But... I've never talked to him before. Like, in my entire life.

It's sad, I know. Maybe he doesn't sound so appealing in the description? You have to see him to understand where I'm coming from. That's why I snapped a few photos of him while he wasn't looking! Maybe that sounds a bit worse than I thought it did... But, let's be real. You can't pretend like you didn't sneak a video of your crush at least once.

Maybe it's because I've watched all the To All The Boys I've Loved Before movies in one night, or maybe it's because I'm suddenly feeling a bit romantic, I want to actually try to make a move on him. Problem is: he's so quiet! I've seen several people try speaking to him before, and he hasn't said a word! I'm not looking to get humiliated in front of the boy of my dreams, so I'll pass.

But I have a new plan. One that is completely fool proof. Even a squirrel could execute this plan flawlessly!
1. Beg Kanao for Muichiro's number: Kanao knows Tanjiro and Tanjiro is best friends with Muichiro. Therefore, I can get Muichiro's number without the awkward small talk with Tanjiro, and Kanao can use this as a chance to talk to him!
2. Text Muichiro: I gotta be slick, you know? Something like a "heyyyy" or "i would definitely love you if you were a worm". Maybe not the second one?
3. Get Muichiro to love me: I'm not gonna just reveal myself, obviously. I'll get Muichiro to fall in love with my personality outside of school, and then finally reveal myself.
4. Date: I think this one is pretty self-explanatory.
5. The Wedding: I'm thinking of a f/c and white theme for the wedding!

So, it's settled! I'll just get his number, no biggie!

Whoever told me "love is complicated" is a fucking liar.

- y/n is a female in this story, age 15

- muichiro is aged up to be 16 in this story

- this will be written in first person. sometimes, povs will be switched. i'll try to make these switches as seamless as possible lol

- the cover was made by my friend Mel0dixie. im so happy w it he looks so cute 😭

- expect some mediocre writing: i'm not exactly the best at this, but i've wanted a fic where muichiro doesnt die for like the longest time and since wattpad authors are cruel im not gonna wait around for one to be made
