"Man, I'm so pissed that the dumb system broke down. I really prefered the first person view." The brunette pouted. "Is it seriously going to be in third person now?"

"Dude. You're seriously reading that? That's based on kids from our school." Another student scrunched his nose in disgust.

"Whatever! I'll read the new chapter when I get home, I guess..." Chiyo sighed. "Let's just go to class."

--

"Time to read~!" Chiyo laughed, whipping her phone out and pulling up the story. "I wonder if the author is going to publish a chapter about the festival..."

It was breezy that day, her window open and curtains flowing about. A smiling air surrounded her as she sat down with her phone in her hands. She playfully swung her legs off her bed in excitement as she unlocked the device.

As the wind picked up, the brunette frowned. "I should probably close my window..." She hummed, walking up to the window and pushing it closed as one last gust of wind blew past her.

If only Chiyo realized how this decision would affect her.

"What's happening?!"

"We'll fight for your case."

I'm confused.

Mrs. Tokito smiles at me, doing Makomo's hair. "I'll take you both shopping too, that way you both will have new clothes and a new start."

Makomo squealed in delight, cheering and hugging Mrs. Tokito. Meanwhile, I'm fucking frozen in shock. It's a miracle I didn't spill this entire pot of tea. "That's a huge decision, are you sure? You just came back from work."

"Me and my husband spoke about it, and we both decided that we couldn't bare to see your parents walk away scot-free." She continues, gently patting my sister's back.

Yuichiro's leisurely laying on the couch, watching whatever's on the television. "Honestly, they were both pretty firm about it. Crazy, right?"

I set the pot of tea down on the table, taking the time to process her words. She's going to fight for us. "How much do we owe you?"

"Nothing." Mr. Tokito stated. "You've made our sons happy, and I feel like we owe it back to you."

I watch as Makomo plops down next to Yuichiro, his hand ruffling her hair as I stand in shock. "Is this for real?" Muichiro lightly squeezes my hand in an attempt to take me out of my utter bewilderment.

But they just nod.

They just nod.

I try to speak, but words fail me as I just squeeze his hand back.

How could I speak? They were offering me the deal of a lifetime. I wouldn't have to dig into my college fund.

I can only bring myself to speak two words.

"Thank you."

--

"What should we wear?..." Muichiro hummed. "I can buy you a kimono, I think."
