The poem you've just read was written after this boy from Discord has given me anxieties and trust issues. I'll consider him a boy kasi he's immature in a literal sense but also, I freaked out when my Discord friends whom we don't share the same server, knew about him for being a pedo. At first, I didn't believe them. Sino ba namang maniniwala kaagad? Napakabigat na paratang o akusasyon sa isang tao ang salitang iyon. And also, this is me, na laging may tanong sa isipan kung maniniwala ba o hindi, this is me na kung walang ebidensya ay hinding-hindi ako maniniwala. Three friends of mine were telling me about him pero wala eh, it doesn't make any sense to me.
Itago nalang natin siya sa pangalang Dan. He's a young boy who lives in Hawaii, a 19 year-old family-oriented Filipino, living with parents and his little sister. So, who would have thought na isa syang pedo? Let me first share my experience with him.
Sumali ako sa random Discord servers, exploring different communities, hanggang sa mapadpad ako sa Discord server nya. He owns that server. Medyo introvert ako online so, I love how there were only a few active members in his server at medyo maliit pa lang ang community nila. Everything was doing well until nagkaroon na ng mga nagda-direct message sa'kin. To give you a brief background on what the server was like, maraming teenagers, there were only a few people na in their 20s, most of the members are Asians kaya medyo okay itong server na ito for someone like me who was still finding a home server that time. You know how Asians are truly Asians around Asians. Sige, isipin mo muna yan. HAHAHA! It wasn't a tongue twister. In that Discord server, we've discussed topics about preparing rice, other Asian foods depending on from what country they were from, cultures, traditions and a lot more. It was fun.
Everything has changed after a few days. Aba! Si server owner ay nagme-message na rin sa akin. Curious yata because I am a Pinay. I told him kung ilang taon na ako and a few basic information about me. Don't worry, I didn't tell him my address. After a few days, iba na ang timpla ng usapan, persuasive and sensual na ang chats nya. By the way, 5 years ang gap namin. I'm older than him and I told him about it para malaman niyang di ako comfortable sa mga pinagsasasabi nya. The conversation went on and on, almost everyday until one day, nasanay na ako. I started waking up each day na excited to open my DMs just to check if he sent me a message. He was sweet and very open to tell me stories about his exes. So I opened up, too. Hanggang sa may I love yous na kami, kahit wala naman kaming label. It's as if we're in a private relationship pero naglalandian from time to time sa general chats. So almost all active members knew that there was something between us. Then, it came to a point that he added a "Dad" role in the server, na para sakanya, and I got a "Mom" role. Just like that, I became a moderator. I didn't do much as someone who had that role. Nanlalandi lang sa Dad and treating everyone as my children na.
Sa server na iyon, hindi puro usap lang. We played games, too. May isang laro na globally we can play at pagbobotohan kung sino ang traitor sa aming mga players. Among Us was the game. It was really fun. Minsan kami lang ni Dan ang naglalaro or nasa voice call kaming dalawa, if one of us ang traitor, pagtatakpan namin ang isa't-isa. And there was an option to have a mini character alongside with yours, so he tried that then, we took a screenshot of it. Ginawa naming DP iyon for several days. Kinilig ako syempre because it's like making our "private relationship" public. Wala pa rin namang label. Naging public landian and parang announcing na bawal kaming lumandi ng iba or landiin ng iba. At that time, masaya naman ako pero I always had doubts because he's too young and I always thought na he's exploring pa. And what will I expect from a relationship na walang label, di ba?
