Story Start: LFNS Infinity's Department Heads Briefing Room
"They call themselves the Covenant." The interrogator said to the room filled with the heads of the various departments and the shinobi. All of the department heads were already starting to take notes as the man continued "They're a group of humans who have pledged allegiance to a group of beings that they believe to be gods." A projector turned on and a sketch of a rather, unusual being appeared on the wall beside the speaker. It had an unusually long neck that seemed to start oriented forwards rather than pointing up with weird protrusions coming from where its ears were supposed to be. Almost as strange as the neck was the fact that while the hands had thumbs, they only had two long fingers at the front. The speaker barely glanced at it as he continued "According to the captain's knowledge of her people's history, these beings came from a group of falling stars and showed that they had immense power under their command."
"Aliens. You're telling us we are dealing with aliens." The head of Navigation said flatly.
"It certainly appears that way." The on-ship interrogator said with a nod. The three shinobi in the back traded looks that all but screamed 'It's going to be one of THOSE missions again' while the department heads all began muttering to themselves for a moment before Captain Iroh got everyone focused back on the briefing as he said "The enemy captain said that our destruction was the will of these so called gods, and yet her crew was as human as we are. Why?"
"Probably because said humans cannot use chakra over there." The interrogator said with a frown as he looked at his own notes for a moment before looking back up and said "The enemy captain's exact words were that the gods had declared the abilities of those on our continent to be signs of us being demon worshipers and thus we must be punished by extinction."
"They're afraid of us." The First Mate said in realization.
There was a snort from the Weapons department head and he said "As they should be, anyone else remember just what our Uzumaki guest created while we were en route to the Land of Snow?"
There was general agreement from that and Naruto allowed a rather worrying smirk to appear on his face at the mention of his most destructive Wind Style Jutsu in his arsenal. The focus was brought back to the front as the Interrogator said "And it's a good thing he's with us now, because that wasn't the only ship sent, far from it."
"How many more?" The first mate asked.
The Interrogator gave a quick swallow before he said "The one we encountered was merely the scout ship, there's an armada of fifty more making their way for the Elemental Nations."
The floor seemed to drop for most of the people in the room and Heza's soft but extremely heart felt "Oh, Sage!" was heard by all of them.
Captain Iroh though was calm as he said "Is that all that's coming?"
He got incredulous looks as his first mate said "Begging your pardon Captain, but isn't fifty ships enough?! Even if we got the rest of the fleet with us we couldn't take on that many all at once, not with the kind of firepower they have."
Captain Iroh though merely raised an eyebrow and said "You're forgetting that we have something much more powerful than just a bunch of ships on our side, isn't that right Uzumaki?"
Everyone looked towards Naruto who adopted a rather blood thirsty grin e as he asked "Captain, are you actually giving me permission to go full Tailed Beast?"
