Chapter 55 Call Of Duty: Wrecking the Machine Shop

Story Start: Twenty Four Hours After Covenant Fleet Destruction

The Infinity was currently bringing the last of its ATV's back on board. Extensive search and rescue of the new ship graveyard had only turned up a measly thirty nine survivors, half of which had been in critical condition when they had been found. Thirty nine, out of an armada that had probably numbered in the thousands. It left the searchers in solemn moods as they witnessed the near total destruction unleashed mostly by one person. More than one crew member swore to their chosen deity as they thanked them for having Naruto Uzumaki on THEIR side. Said Uzumaki was freshly released from the medical bay and currently with his team in the Captain's quarters with said captain discussing the current situation.

"I'm afraid no matter how much I wish otherwise the fact remains, even with the destruction of such a large fleet, our enemy will just make more ships. And with their apparent level of technology they could have their new armada ready much faster than we'll have more ships outfitted with the new shield generators given how much work it takes to properly install the shield emitters into our current ship roster. Our only course of action is to continue on and take out their ship building facilities." Captain Iroh said with a sigh.

"Which in turn means that we're going to have to go right up to their door step, lovely." Heza said with a huff.

"And we can definitely expect this Covenant to retaliate, even if by some immeasurably small chance they wouldn't have when we took out fifty one of their ships." Matto said with a frown and crossed arms.

"I believe you all should remember that this Covenant is the aggressor here and already planned your destruction. Your next actions should be clear." A shadow clone possessed by Kurama and thus currently transformed into the shape of a normal sized fox with multiple tails drawled from where he was sitting on the table.

"Knock their teeth out then kick them in the nads while they're down?" Naruto asked in amusement from his position next to his foster father.

"For a start." Kurama said with a nod.

"Well we already did the teeth knocking when you two and the Infinity completely obliterated fifty of their ships." Matto said with a grin.

"Guess we just need to kick low then." Kurama said with a blood thirsty grin.

"While I can certainly agree to that, you will NOT be coming out in your full form again. Not after how depilating it was to Uzumaki the last time." Captain Iroh said sternly.

Kurama turned his full focus on the naval officer and said "I should be angered at you presuming to tell me what to do, but I happen to agree. From now on, all action taken by me will be through one of Naruto's clones."

Captain Iroh nodded before he studied the three shinobi currently under his command and said "With only the Infinity available for this mission I am strongly against using her in a frontal attack against no doubt highly protected targets. Can I trust you three to infiltrate then destroy these facilities?"

The grins that appeared on Team Maelstrom's faces would have been extremely worrying if they had been enemies. As Matto and Naruto let out further worrying cackles, Heza's eyes glinted as she said "Captain, infiltration in order for greater destruction is what we do best."

It was only through his extensive experience as a member of the Land of Fire's Navy that Captain Iroh kept the shiver that so wanted to travel down his spine from doing as it wished even as he gave a satisfied nod and said "That is exactly what I like to hear Chunnin."
