"So, who was that?" My mom asked, sitting down next to me.

"My boyfriend," I said slowly, slipping my phone into my pocket.

"Oh?" she questioned, "and who might that be?"

"Well, you know that boy i dated like five years ago?"

"Nico?"

"Yeah, that's the one," I nodded.

She raised her eyebrow slightly at me but didn't say anything.

"Well, we may or may not be dating again," i smiled

"I see," she said, sipping her tea.

"Is that all you have to say?" I asked, laughing slightly.

"Well, if you're happy, that's all i care about," she shrugged.

"Honestly, i'm not quite sure what's going on half the time," I sighed.

"Oh?"

"Well, you know the little meet up thing i went to?"

She nodded.

"Well, Nico was there too and we started talking. Then we kind of started going back to the way we were before we broke up. But it's still odd. We haven't told anyone really and we're still figuring things out," i said, staring down at my lap.

"But you love him," she pointed out.

"I don't think i ever stopped," i sighed, shaking my head.

"So, when do i get to meet this wonder-boy that's got you head over heels?" she asked.

"Well, i did mention that he should come down at some point," I pointed out, "but we've got stuff to figure out before that."

"Fair," she smiled, "but do I at least get to see a picture this time around?"

"I don't know if i have any recent ones but i'll look," I laughed.

I looked and unsurpisingly, i didn't have anything recent.

Sunshine boy: hey Nicooo

Death boy: yes?

Sunshine boy: do you mind sending me a picture of yourself

Death boy: for what purpose?

Sunshine boy: my mom wants to see your beautiful face

He sent me an image of himself glaring at the camera. His unruly dark hair was covering the top part of his face, his chocolate eyes barely visible.

Hades, he was cute

Sunshine boy: is this the best i'm going to get?

Death Boy: until you come back? yes

Sunshine boy: I love you

Death Boy: preaching your love for me won't help

Death Boy: but i love you to

"Here Ma, i have a picture for you," I said, turning back to her, "it's not the best, but it's all I got."

I placed my phone in her outreached hands, leaning back.

"He doesn't glare all of the time," I commented.

"Just most of the time?"

I laughed, having no other response.

"He's cute," she noted, handing me my phone back.

"yeah, yeah he is,"
