I stared at the ceiling, tapping my fingers on my arm.

It felt weird being alone in my apartment again. Which is kind of funny because this apartment had been empty, minus myself, for years.

But here i was, lonelier that i had been in the past five years.

I turned, hearing my phone ring.

I picked it up, seeing Will's name. I smiled, quickly picking up.

"Hey Neeks,"

My heart fluttered at the sound of his voice.

"Hey Sunshine Boy," I smiled, laying back down on my bed.

"Have you slept recently?" Will asked.

"Eh, not really," I admitted.

"Have you at least eaten?"

"Well-"

"Nico! I leave you alone for two days!"

"I-"

"Go eat Nico, please," He sighed.

"Okay, okay, i'm going," I groaned, pulling myself out of bed.

"Sometimes i wonder how you survived for the past 5 years," he commented and i imagined him shaking his head as he spoke.

"I did though," i pointed out.

"Yeah, I doubt you did it healthily," he sighed.

"I don't think that's a word,"

"Yes it is,"

"look it up,"

"you look it up,"

"I'm making food Will, you look it up," I pointed out.

I grabbed a box of cereal from my cabinet, placing it on the counter. I grabbed a bowl, pouring cereal into it. I turned, opening my fridge.

"See, it is a word!" he exclaimed, " 'in a way that promotes or indicates good health' "

"Mhm Will, whatever you say," I shrugged, sitting down at my island.

"If you don't believe me, look it up yourself,"

"I'm eating Will,"

"That's good but unrelated,"

"I'm busy,"

"I think you're just scared," he laughed.

"I'm not scared,"

"Then look it up,"

"Fine fine, I'll look it up," I sighed.

I picked my phone up from the counter, going to google.

"Okay, maybe you're right," I responded, placing my phone on the counter again.

"Mhm, i am aren't i?" he laughed.

"you're too full of yourself," I groaned.

" It's my super power,"

"So you admit it?"

"Maybe," he chuckled.

"You're an idiot," I smiled.

"I know,"

"Are you feeling okay?"

"i feel great, Neeks," he laughed, "why do you ask?"

"I'm not letting you leave New York once you come back," I said, "how much coffee have you had today?"

"Probably too much," he admitted and i imagined him shrugging as he spoke.

"Babe," I sighed, "that's not healthy."

"i'm only a little hyper," he laughed.

"Only a little?"

"Okay, maybe a lot but i'm fine,"

"Sure thing but once you come back to New York, you're not getting coffee,"

"Yeah, that's probably for the best," he laughed.

I yawned slightly, leaning back.

"Tired?" Will asked, still laughing.

"I'm fine," I groaned, suppressing another yawn.

"You're an awful liar, you know,"

"So are you!"

"Are you finally admitting to your awful lying skills?" he asked.

"No, because i'm not!"

"Mhm,"

I opened my mouth to respond but a yawn is the only sound that left my mouth.

"If you're tired, you should go to sleep Neeks," Will laughed.

"I'm fine," I repeated, less convincing this time.

"You need sleep baby, and so do i,"

"That..might be true," I admitted.

"I'll call you okay tomorrow, okay?"

"Okay," I whispered.

"I love you Neeks,"

"You to Sunshine Boy," I smiled, "goodnight,"

" 'night baby"
