CHAPTER 1

Run away

"Mornings, Monday's... Not what I like at all." I got out of bed with a struggle, today is a new week, more school, less sleep. The only up side is I get to see my friend.

"Good morning." Said a little voice behind me. I looked back and noticed a bright light.

"Good morning Nimzee." I said rubbing my eyes as she sat on my bed.

"What have you been doing all of last night this time?" Nimzee looked at me with joy.

"Lately I've been working on the ability to move objects, and I finely got it to all work!" Nimzee answered looking mysterious with her eyes sparkling. Nimzee has always been a loyal friend to me. The sad thing is, she has died when we were only 7 years old. Since that day that she passed, I discovered a new gift. I can see spirits and ghosts. Since I've discovered it, I would try to tell people at school about it. But, everyone would call me names. They'd call me so many names. They came up with one that just stuck. "Paranormal mistake." It really never made sense to me. But it still hurts. Now that I'm in high school, the bullying gets worse. My only happiness is Nimzee, and my tree that's on the outside of my window.

"Guess what I practiced on!" Nimzee said with excitement.

"Hmm? Did you get rid of the rats in the basement?" I said with delight, the basement used to be MY area, my parents would never go down there. I'm not sure why, but that was my first safe place. But then it became infested with rats.

"Nope, not the rats!" Nimzee looked like she was going to pee herself, yet that's impossible.

"Was it the party messes?" My mom and dad would party almost every night. I'm actually surprised there not dead or in jail yet.

"Ok, I'm getting bored ill just tell you." Nimzee said as she was floating above me.

"Last night went into your parents room, they were passed out onto the floor again from there partying. I Hid there keys!" Nimzee was going crazy at this point.

"Keys to what?" I said starting to feel a little nervous.

"I hid the keys to your parents crack!" Nimzee said with an abnormal smile. I however, wasn't as happy.

"What's wrong?" Nimzee said.

"I have to get out of the house before they wake up! They will beat me to death. Literally this time!" I panicked as I grabbed a bag and began to place my clothes and special belongings in it.

"Wait?!?! What are you doing?! I thought I did something good! Why are you packing up?" Nimzee was confused, she didn't realize that taking those keys and hiding them would put the blame on me.

"Nimzee! We have to go!" I said as I gestured to the window. She knew that I was taking her to the tree. It would be our safe place for the day, until night. That's when we would go out to find an abandon building, church, house, or even, a factory of some sort. Nimzee and I scurried out the window, only to find an untasteful surprise... The tree was no longer there. Clear cut to the ground. What will we do? If we try to run in the day light someone will catch us, mostly just me, since Nimzee is a ghost, but, we can't even go back in my room. They, will, get me. So I had to think. And think fast! hmm?

"That's it!" I said with relief. Nimzee seemed confused. I felt there wasn't anytime to explain, so I gestured for Nimzee to follow me. I began walking on the side of the roof, with caution of anyone seeing me, or even if I were to fall. Nimzee stayed close behind me as I continued to walk. A grin came upon my face. As I looked back at Nimzee I continued to walk in the one direction.

"Linza! Look out!" Nimzee was screaming at me as she saw that the edge of the roof was coming. I just kept walking, And in a second I fell down and off the roof.

"NO!!!!" Nimzee freaked. She looked down, but she didn't see me. She flew down in confusion.

"I'm over here silly." She turned around just to see a bush. She came closer to the bush, as she saw my head pop out.

"Come in goof ball. Don't you remember this place?" I was smiling at her with the most cheesy grin ever. She came in and looked around not remembering the area she came in. Branches surrounded us with bright colours of red, blue, green, purple, and yellow. Nimzee looked Down to see a big blue mat, that's how it broke my fall. You could tell it was all there for awhile. There was some mold in some spots, holes in the mat, and the colours were all quit faded.

"Well... we'll have to stay here until the moon is up. Hmm. To bad that I'm missing school today." I was smiling at that thought. But I also felt worry at the fact that its very possible that they might get caught at anytime. I was also thinking if I had a science test today. As long as I'm safe for now...
