CHAPTER 11

The dress

The morning was warm, the birds sang. Only part that wasn't good about the morning was Melissa's snoring.... Whatever... She needed her sleep. She was out all night. I was happy that she came to visit me durning the competition. I believe that she's one of the reasons I won. Well today I wanted to bring her the mall so we can get cute dresses for the party. And after that we can get extra food and cleaning tools for our 'home'.

"Melissa." I lightly whispered while shaking her shoulder. I was expecting her to get up slowly but no...

"BORITOOOOOOOOOS!" I fell back on my bed she scared me so badly. Melissa was laughing so hard that she fell of her own bed.

"Gosh! Did you really have to do that?!?" My temper went up without realization. Melissa crawled under her bed with terror. Great way to start the morning...

"Ugh! Sorry for yelling at you... You just scared me and, I just couldn't control myself." Melissa was still hiding under the bed from me.

"If you come out from under the bed ill take you out for a taco for breakfast." Once those words came out she sprang up into view.

"OKAY! Oh! Come follow me! Found something that will come in handy." Melissa ran right out the room and down some stairs. I was very confused, but followed her anyways. Not forgetting to grab the money. I took a quick look in a mirror before descending down the staircase.

"Hurry up Nny!"Melissa sounded excited.

"Im coming!" I answered back almost falling down the stairs

"We don't have helmets though." Melissa smiled at me. In front of me I saw two dusty bikes resting on a wall.

"Oh cool! Good job Melissa. When did you find these?" I wiped the dust and spider webs of the bikes and checked on the tires.

"I sleep walk!" She said with a high voice.

"Oh and I already filled the tires. I got bored last night when I realized I was down here." She sat on her bike and smiled at me.

"So what king of party is it again Melissa?"I knew she and were going to the mall. I just wanted to make sure we didn't grand the wrong kind of outfit.

"Hmmm.." Melissa thought as she put her hand in her back pocket.

"It's gonna be like a ball... All girls need to wear dresses and all guys need to wear tuxedos.

"Ok. Lets go to the mall now." As I said that Melissa started to bike out.

"Wait or me!" Yelled following far behind.

I was thankfully that the bikes had baskets. If it didn't it wouldn't be so easy going back home. We were planning on getting everything we needed including the dresses.

"We're here!" Melissa looked back at me with a huge smile on her face. We finally made it to the mall.

"Ok first we get the dresses then we get cleaning supplies and last we get the food, and go strait home." Melissa nodded at me. We went and placed our bikes behind the mall where no one can get them.

"I know the perfect store we can go too." Melissa waved at me to follow her once more.

We ended up passing many stores lots with cool outfit and items in them.

"Here we are!" Melissa pulled me out my thoughts knowing that I was in front of Le Robe Rose.

"Hmmm..." I looked at the the dresses from the outside of the store noticing only bright colours on the dresses... No black...

"What?" Rake looked at me curiously.

"I'm gonna go to a different store... Ill be back as soon as I can. Here's som e money if you get a dress." I handed rake exactly $300, and went off to my favourite store... Bat cave. It isn't a very appealing name, but the clothes in it were really cool.

"Hi. If you need any help I'd be happy too." A lady dressed in a black and red corset top with pants covered in chains came up to me with a half smile.

"Ya um.. Do you guys by chance have any party dresses?" She nodded and lead me farther in the store.

"Here they are. If your gonna try them on just go down this hall and too the right. There will be another worker there that can assist you." She left me with the dresses.

In front of me was an entire wall of gothic dresses. But thought them all. There was one that caught my eye in a second. I took down the hall to the change room just to make sure it fits me right.

"Just one." I said. The lady brought me to the first change room put the number on the handle and let me in. It ended up being pretty difficult putting it on since the laces were all done up in the front and back.

"How are you doing in there?" The lady asked.

"I just need some help lacing the back." I quickly opened the door to allow her to come in.

"This looked really cute on you. So you going on a date? A party? A family reunion?" The lady as smiling.

"Just a party." I quickly answered back trying to avoid the thought of my family.

"Oh cool. And sorry that we have no mirrors in the change rooms." Once she finished tying the lace, we stepped out of the change room.

"Oh my god." I whispered under my breath. Looking in the mirror I could believe how beautiful the dress was.

"Hey Nny! I got a dress did you pick yo..." Melissa came walking in and paused there looking at me.

"Wow..." We both exclaimed.
