We interrupt this broadcast for a special report. Sad news tonight. The hero known as Spider-Man has died. His injuries were related to a powerful earthquake. Multiple reports are confirming he was known as Peter Parker. The 26 year old grad student, operated Spider-Man.

(I'm not scared, of the dark.)
(I'm not runnin', runnin', runnin', no I'm not afraid of the fall.)
(I'm not scared. Not at all.)
(Why would a star a star, ever be, afraid of the dark.)
(I'm not scared.)
(I'm not scared, even from the start.)
(I'm not scared. Of the dark. Of the dark, hmm.)

"My husband Peter Parker, was an ordinary person. He said that it could be anyone behind the mask. And he was just a kid who happened to get bit."

I stopped by my dorm to take a shower and change my clothes, and packed the rest of my stuff since Teo insisted, so I was now on my way to a costume store down the street from Teo's. I wanted to go see Peter's wife's speech for him. As I was about to walk in, I bump right into someone. It was Miles!

"Oh. Hey, Miles." I say, my voice flat. I wasn't mad at him or anything. But I was feeling terrible. I notice how he's wearing a Spider-Man mask with obvious eye and nose holes. I giggle lightly. "Oh, Y/n. What are— What're you doing here?" He asks. "Same reason as you. I wanted to Listen to MJ's speech. But I didn't want to show up with nothing so I just needed the mask." I say and as I was about to walk past him, he stops me.

"Here." He says and puts something in my hand. "I knew you would want to be there for the speech, so I bought you a mask. I didn't know if you wanted the full suit or not, so I just go the full thing." He said and I look down at the costume bag. It was for children, but honestly, who cares?

I felt my heart warm at the sight. He bought this for me? That's so nice...

I look up at him and smile. "Thank you." I say and my eyes drift to the price tag. "$30?!(not really) You did not need to buy me this. And you bought two?" I say and pull out my wallet. "Here." I say and hold out three ten's , but Miles pushes my hand back to me. "No. It's okay. My treat. Seriously." Miles said, with a smile. Or so I thought, since his eye lit up, and squinted under the mask.

I sigh and take the mask out and put the rest of the costume into my bookbag and slide the mask on, then putting my hood on. I nodded to Miles, and we both start walking to the center where hundreds of people stood. I had secretly put $30 in his bag on the way though.

"We all have powers of one kind or another. But in our own way... we are all Spider-Man. And we're all counting on you."

That night, I was sitting in my room, doing nothing but let tears fall down my face, when I look at the time on my phone. It was around 8, and I had nothing to do, so I wipe my face and let the puffiness of my eyes go away before telling Teo I was just going out for a walk. He was just as heartbroken, surprisingly. About the fact that Peter was gone.

I give a sad smile at this then I get up, grab my suit and put it on. I put my jacket over my suit, the mask in the pocket, and I start to walk out of the store. "I'm going for a walk, Teo." I called out to him. "Are you sure?" He asked me and I could tell he was alittle upset.
"Yeah. I just...I just need to be alone." I said.
"Okay. Call me and let me know where you are." He said and I nod as I walk out, shut the door, put my mask on and swing my way over to the cemetery.

I land in the snowy grounds of the cemetery and walk over to Spider-Man's tombstone, which was surrounded by flowers, and I pull my mask up when I noticed someone was standing in front of the tomb. "I'm sorry, Mr. Parker. That thing you gave me, that key... I think I really messed it up." The voice said and I walk up to him. "Miles?" I said as I take my mask off completely. He turns to me then frowns. "What's wrong?" I ask him as I get closer to him.
