With food still on my mind I decided finding an animal or two wouldn't be a bad idea. Animals in this region can be scarce and well hidden but I shouldn't have much trouble. As I was searching for my next meal the sight of the buck sustained in my mind, nothing should bother me that much. Thinking about the buck I see a slightly plump rabbit on the ridge. That means I can set up a couple of snares nearby, my rations should hold me till the snares catch something.

After a couple hours of setting traps and exploring I think I'm ready to go to the river and lake. Maybe there will be some good fishing too. The Malus river and lake aren't that far from my camp, the area is a lake that has a slightly high ridge where I saw the creepy buck at, a huge lake with a somewhat wide river flowing into it. I slowly make my way to the lakeside to not scare any wildlife that might be potential food sources. The lake was definitely large enough to boat on...if I had one, but nonetheless the area was nice and animals may come around to drink. The water was still, no movement for a while so that draws a conclusion to nearby animals being around. I walk the shoreline looking for any kind of fruit I could eat for energy. I look down at the ground for a short second as I walk after seeing nothing in front of me, but little did I know I wasn't alone. I look up and he's there...the buck. He stares into my soul as if he could hear my thoughts. I didn't even hear him walk up or anything. My breathing gets quicker as I panic silently. His mouth is open, but it's not normal. Instead of grass and plants in his mouth it was...blood. His mouth looked like that of an insane serial killer. He just stood there and looked at me. I'm petrified with fear and shock. I've heard of deer eating small mammals if the plants don't have the right nutrients but he looks like he killed one of his own. However just as quickly as he appeared I blinked and he's gone. I think that's enough time on the lake for now. Maybe I should just get some rest
