Chapter 1 - Rebels

                

 Welcome to the small town of Maybank where pretty much everything happens. people fighting, adults dealing drugs to minors, teens having an identity crisis, and a lot more.

But let's skip the basics and get down to the real deal. Nairobi Modern. Nairobi Modern is the shit in Maybank. She has everyone down to her knees, except her parents, cops, and teachers of course but other than that she is known as 'the rebelled kid'.

Nai isn't a saint, she has slept with every guy she's ever interacted with and has dealt drugs minors, even to kids she knew.

Nai's dad is an alcoholic and her mother is holding down two jobs since her husband can't seem to get one because he has been fired numerous times for drinking during work hours.

Nai also had a younger brother that was three years younger than her.

Nai was only thirteen when she first started to shoplift with her friends that obviously weren't a very good influence on her. Thirteen was a very rocky year for her.

Her dad started to get more and more into drinking, her mom was getting frustrated of having to do everything to provide for them and on top of that where her daughter started becoming disrespectful towards them.

It had caused her to pack her things and leave them behind and as much as she wanted to take Nai with her, she couldn't, because she couldn't afford for the both of them.

Nai had become depressed and heart broken but during time she became more resentful towards her mother she once admired so much.

She had began to vape, shoplift, grafiti on buildings, get into fights, she had become everything she promised herself she wouldn't become when she little.

She hated the fact that her younger brother still loved their mother despite the fact she practically abandon them leaving them as if they were just apart of her past now.

She constantly argued with her father about his drinking problem but she knew she would never win, because as much as she hates to admit it, her dad scares her. She's afraid that one day he's going to hit her because she knew her father was capable of doing such a thing.

Nai has never once fallen in love before because the thought of them abandoning her just like her mother did sends chills down her spine.

Nai was now seventeen and doesn't hang around the kids she use to hang with when she was thirteen. Instead they had become her enemies. Her only true friend she has is her friend Mina Cameron.

She is a complete apposite of what Nai is. Mina is a very energetic person, straight A student, extrovert, and a total sweetheart. She is what Nai wished she was.

It was the only the fifth day of school when people started talking about the new guy in town and how he is potentially transferring to Maybank high school.

"OMGGGGG HAVE YOU HEARD THE NEWS" Mina screams excitedly at Nai who is at her locker getting her books for next period.

"Whats the news, I really need something to distract me right now" says Nai with a tired expression on her face.

"THE'RES A NEW GUY COMING TO TOWN" Says Mina beginning to squeal with excitement.k

"What do you mean new guy?" Nai becoming very confused of the fact there is a new guy coming to Maybank bc she feels like there hasn't been a single person that's moved here in decades.

"Apparently his name's Chapin Bronx and he moving here because he got into a BIG fight that lead him to get expelled" Mina says to Nai with a this-is-such-cool-news face.

"What the fuck" says Nai in her head trying to process the fact this guy could potentially be her competition and maybe mortal enemy.

"What in the actual living fuck" she says out loud this time.

"Yeah and apparently he's coming TOMORROW" Mina says

"WHAT" Nai says yelling it out on accident which had caused everyone to stare at her.

This was just great.
