Part 2 - Why is She Here?

"What the fuck is she doing here!?" John B stood in the chateau with two girls who stared at him in disbelief. "I wanted you guys to meet her, I feel like you guys have no reason to hate h-"

"I'm out," Lydia said as she walked out, slamming the door in the process.

JJ followed Lydia and sat next to her on the porch. "What happened between you guys?" he asked carefully.

"We met at the same time Kiara and her met. We were super close, and I was completely at my worst, and she was there, not even Kiara," Lydia started, taking a deep breath.

"We got closer, and we were best friends. We did everything together, but then Sarah had this huge party, and she kept it away from me and Kiara. I know it was just one party, but we were best friends, and I felt hurt that she didn't even tell me about it. I had to find out about it on an Instagram post," she stopped for a few seconds.

"Then she told everyone that I was the one who called the police on the party," she said sadly.

"Did you call the police?" JJ asked, rubbing Lydia's back.

"No, that's what made it worse. I didn't do shit," Lydia said, and a few tears fell out. JJ sat there, comforting her.

"I'm not even mad that she's here. I am mad that John B, my best friend, betrayed me, and he knew why I hate her!" Lydia said as she came back in to see the two girls, Kiara and Sarah, getting along. She rolled her eyes at the two.

"Lydia, please-" John B started.

"Shut the fuck up," Lydia silenced him.

"I told you," Sarah said.

"Told him what exactly, that you're a two-faced cunt?" Lydia asked, her voice filled with venom.

"No, that you're a shit-talking bitch," Sarah said as Lydia flew forward, going to hit Sarah, but two arms grabbed hers.

Something that was most likely not said was that Lydia had a bit of an anger problem. She wouldn't call it anger issues, but she could control her anger, but she chose not to in this situation. Lydia would never actually harm Sarah, maybe a slap or a punch, but she would never want to actually hurt someone who she had cared about, even if she didn't like her. What made Lydia and Sarah's fight hurt more was the fact that Sarah was one of the only reasons she had cured from the sudden vanishment of her father, and Sarah was the only one who knew about her eating disorder.

Lydia decided to go home as she was tired of everyone, and that Kiara just forgave Sarah so easily. When she got home, her mother stood there.

"Honey, what have you eaten?" her mother asked, and Lydia winced at the smell of beer that came off her breath.

"Nothing?" she said, confused.

"You look a little, uh, bigger. Why don't you skip dinner and go to bed?" her mother said politely, but nothing about her voice was polite.

Lydia's heart sank as she realized that her mother was once again fixated on her weight. She had struggled with an eating disorder in the past, and her mother's constant comments only made it worse.

"I'm not hungry, I think I'll just go to bed," Lydia said as she walked past her mother.

She went to her room, shut the door, and sat on her bed, feeling overwhelmed. She knew that she needed to talk to someone about her feelings, but she didn't know who to turn to. She couldn't talk to her mother, who was more concerned with her appearance than her well-being, and her friends were dealing with their own issues.

Lydia felt alone and trapped in her own thoughts. She knew that she needed to take care of herself, but she didn't know how.

Lydia sat on her bed for a while before deciding to try and distract herself by watching a movie. However, even the movie couldn't keep her mind from racing. She couldn't shake the feeling of betrayal from John B and the hurt of seeing Sarah again. To make matters worse, her mother's comments about her weight only added to her anxiety.

Lydia tried to push the thoughts out of her mind, but they kept creeping back in. She knew that she needed to talk to someone about what she was feeling, but she didn't know who to turn to. She didn't want to burden her friends with her problems, and she didn't feel comfortable talking to her mother.

Lydia's thoughts were interrupted by a text message from JJ. "Hey, are you okay?" he asked.

Lydia hesitated before responding. She didn't want to burden JJ with her problems, but she also didn't want to lie to him. "Not really," she finally typed out.

JJ responded quickly, "Do you want to talk about it?"

Lydia took a deep breath before responding. "I don't know who to talk to. I feel like I'm drowning in my own thoughts, and I can't shake this feeling of betrayal."

JJ replied, "I'm here for you, Lydia. You don't have to go through this alone."

Lydia felt a sense of relief wash over her. She knew that she had someone she could talk to and that she didn't have to suffer in silence. She opened up to JJ about her feelings, and he listened to her without judgment.

Talking to JJ didn't solve all of Lydia's problems, but it helped to ease her anxiety. She knew that she still had a long road ahead of her, but she felt a little less alone.

Even after talking to JJ, Lydia found it hard to sleep. She tossed and turned in her bed, her mind still racing with thoughts of betrayal and hurt. She tried to focus on her breathing, taking deep breaths in and out, but it didn't help.

Lydia got up from her bed and walked over to her desk, where she kept a journal. She opened it up and started to write down her thoughts, pouring out everything that had been weighing on her mind. She wrote about her feelings of betrayal towards John B and the hurt of seeing Sarah again. She also wrote about her mother's constant comments about her weight and how they made her feel.

As she wrote, Lydia felt a sense of release. Putting her thoughts down on paper helped to ease the weight that she had been carrying. She wrote until her hand ached, and she couldn't write anymore.

Lydia crawled back into bed, feeling emotionally exhausted. She tried to clear her mind and focus on her breathing again, but it was no use. She decided to put on some calming music and closed her eyes, trying to relax.

As she listened to the music, Lydia felt her body start to relax, and her mind started to slow down. She focused on the music, letting it wash over her, and soon she felt herself drifting off to sleep.

Lydia knew that she still had a lot to work through, but she also knew that she had taken a step in the right direction. She had acknowledged her feelings and had found a way to cope with them. She knew that it wouldn't be easy, but she was determined to take care of herself and work through her problems.
