IT'S FINALLY SUMMER AND I FEEL THE FREEDOM
""What're you going to be doing this summer, Patch?""
Oh, y'know, sitting in the dark, huddled in blankets, watching anime, Dan and Phil and Netflix. Not to mention the gorging on ramen and orange Fanta. I'll also be sitting around on Quotev, Wattpad, and Crunchyroll.com, wishing that I can buy all the anime merch I want.
So, the usual.
((Two weeks later.))
Ryn
The cafeteria of Melrose was like the Colosseum in Ancient Rome. It was large and full of people, all seated at their own corresponding tables, each one loud and annoying in their own special way. All the tables were arranged in a circle, with a space in the middle where nothing sat. But, occasionally, a fight would break out right there, and all hell broke loose. Those were some of Ryn's favorite moments.
Ara and Ryn's friendship had slowly been rising. Ryn was the kind of person that found someone she liked, latched onto them like a koala, and never let them go. "You're going to be my friend now even if you don't wanna. You are going to love me and cherish me as a human being and we will be friends forever." Most people found this incredibly creepy. (Who wouldn't?) But, for some reason, Ara hadn't pushed her away. Instead, she embraced her as a friend. And Ryn continued to have her koala-grip on her.
Ryn smiled over at her friend, who was sitting across the table, "Are you sure it's safe to be eating that stuff?" she laughed, watching as her friend nibbled on a piece of cookie dough. Ara shrugged, "I dunno, but I haven't died yet, so I think I'll be alright," she smiled, before taking a sip of her grape juice. Ryn's smile widened, laughing, "True, true."
There were many things that Ryn had learned about Ara. One: she was addicted to cookie dough. Two: she was more blind than Ryn thought was possible. Three: she was incredibly hyper-active. And Four: she had scary hearing. And Ryn knew that when Ara said she heard trouble, she meant it.
Ara's head suddenly shot up, "I hear high heels. Coming this way from... the east at a reasonable pace. Seems someone's unhappy." she mumbled, almost to herself as she looked down at the table. The clicking became more and more noticeable, until finally, it stopped.
Ara whispered, "Evil is upon us."
Ryn turned around to be staring in the cold eyes of Jackie, and she didn't seem to happy. Ryn tilted her head, "I haven't done anything in the past day and a half, why're you looking at me like I've done something wrong?" she laughed softly, crossing her legs on the little cafeteria table bench.
Jackie's eyes simply narrowed, the grip on her coffee cup tightening as her foot tapped. "Shut up, bitch." she growled. Ryn chuckled, shrugging, "Sorry, hun, but I don't really know why you're pissed." she mused, reaching up and 'booping' Jackie's nose sarcastically, watching her eyes widen and fill with anger.
"How dare you touch me!" she roared, before reaching out and dumping her coffee over the snowy-haired girl's head. Ryn's eyes grew as her nerves took in the hot liquid on her skin. All it took was a moment for Ryn to tackle Jackie to the ground. A scream left her lips as they both hit the ground.
Ryn got three punches to Jackie's face, resulting in blood beginning to drip from her nose, before she felt two hands locking around her hands, and she was being pulled up. Her legs flailed harshly, one of them landing straight on Jackie's knee. Hard.
