When it comes to the future of Gotham, new criminals come and go, as some are too young to know better when committing a crime. But the older criminals, they stick around, believing that they still have territory belonging to them. Even after being put through the worse this city can through at them, it doesn't take long for them to make a recovering return as one such criminal, Roman Sionis, aka Black Mask, was looking to rebuild a piece of his criminal organization. Which leads us to the Gotham Docks, where a warehouse owned by Sionis was being looked at.
The thing about Old School Gangsters is that they always have something new to worry about. Hence the costumed wearing vigilante showing up at the front door of the warehouse. It was Luna Loud, wearing a body suit, which has been cut short above the thighs with a "stomach window" and a white cross at the chest, while also having armored boots and gauntlets designed for offensive and defensive purposes; alongside that was a purple cape and a domino mask. She also wore a utility belt with ammo packets for a compound crossbow she had strapped to her side.
With the "training" that she received from Deathstroke, Luna felt confident in running an operation by herself, as she decided to 'hunt' down Black Mask. But when she got a call from an old friend, that's who she's been waiting for as she looked to see a Harley Davidson Motorcycle coming her way, and she knew who it belonged to.
Luna:"About time."
Coming off the motorcycle was a female figure with a motorcycle helmet on, who wore a short, black leather jacket with a yellow patch bearing a blackbird on the back, a white T-shirt with a Black Bird Symbol on the front, a pair of black jeans with two armored caps at the knees, a black belt with silver studs, and black biker boots. Taking off the helmet, it was revealed Luna's closest friend, Sam Sharp, who had a black streak in her bangs, double two helix piercings in each of her ears, and also wears black eyeshadow. The two young ladies seemed happy to see one another as Sam approaches Luna.
Sam:"So...when exactly were you gonna tell me you were a Superhero?"
Luna:"I don't know. When were you gonna tell me you had superPOWERS?"
The two share a laugh and greeted each other with a "bro hug". But then, they got down to business as both look at the warehouse, barring the name "Sionis Industries".
Sam:"So what's the deal with this Black Mask guy?"
Luna:"Word is that he's gotten into arms deals and has been rolling weapons in and out of Gotham. All we need to do is find those weapons, get our hands on Black Mask and put his ass in prison!"
Sam:"(shrugs) Sounds simple enough. You think the weapons are inside."
Luna:"Pretty sure. Let's check it out."
With that, the girls open the double doors of the warehouse. But upon heading inside, do they find that the place is emptier than space. The two girls were left dumbfounded as they looked around and saw a whole lot of nothing.
Sam:"Uh...is this a joke? What exactly am I looking at?"
Luna:"I don't get it. Oracle's info was supposed to be right."
But that's when they heard some vehicles outside. Armored vans rolling in on the warehouse, one of them ends up running over Sam's bike as armed thugs, Black Mask's men, wearing black suits with creepy looking masks, came out of the cars and into the warehouse, where they surrounded the girls. It was then that Luna realized that this was a trap, as she and Sam took defensive stances against the thugs.
Thug 1:"Looks like the boss's info was right. A couple of mask-wearing freaks have been snooping in on our business."
Thug 2:"Yeah? Well, Black Mask has had it with punks like you. So get ready to say night-night!"
