"Beep"

"Beep"

--

Hearing the alarm cut off with just two beeps was odd. I shot up but did not go far; I was wrapped in his arms on the couch with a blanket over us. The sound of his steady heartbeat beneath my ear provided a sense of comfort as I realized we must have fallen asleep together. The warmth of his embrace made me reluctant to leave the cozy cocoon we had created.

I looked around, remembering that we fell asleep on the couch.

I couldn't help but smile at the thought of how peaceful he had looked, his chest rising and falling in a steady rhythm.

"Good morning, my love." He said it, his love confession from yesterday running through my mind.

I blush and return the greeting, feeling a warmth spread through me. As I stretch and yawn, I realize that we have to get ready for school.

"Your aunt left some breakfast in the kitchen. Let's go get ready." He suggested sitting up and helping me off the couch.

He took my hand, leading me up the stairs. I smelled bacon and eggs on my way up and couldn't wait to come back down and eat.

Opening my door, I led him to the bathroom, and we brushed our teeth and got ready.

He went to fix our breakfast while I quickly showered and dressed.

Choosing to wear a button down and blue jeans, I went downstairs and sat at one of the set plates.

"Smells good," I commented, digging in.

"Beautiful," he breathes, leaning in to give me a kiss to the cheek before digging into his food as well.

Within the next 10 minutes, we were out of the house.

Facing the beaut he called his car.

I immediately had an idea.

"Can I drive to school today? Please?" I added with a hopeful smile.

He looked at me skeptically but wordlessly handed over the keys.

Before I could walk away, he pulled me close and said, "Only you. Only for you," he whispered before taking my lips into a kiss.

I felt my heart flutter as he released me, and I climbed into the driver's seat.

The car roared to life, and I couldn't help but grin as I pulled out of the driveway.

The wind whipped through my hair as we cruised down the road, the sun shining down on us.

It was a perfect day for a drive, and I couldn't believe how lucky I was to be sharing it with him.

Stopping at a red light, he put his hand on the back of my seat and leaned in for a kiss. My heart skipped a beat as I melted into his embrace, feeling the warmth of his lips on mine.

I love his kisses, his embraces, and the way he makes me feel alive. It's like nothing else in the world matters when I'm with him.

"If you keep taking my breath away, I might have to take yours." I tease, making a right.

He chuckles and says, "You are the only thing that takes my breath away. Every time I see you, smell you, or think about you, Darling, you leave me breathless." He replies, his voice low and husky.

I can feel the heat rising in my cheeks as I turn to look at him, my heart pounding in my chest.

"I--" The car jerked suddenly, interrupting my thoughts.
