"Valeria, Mi amore? you remembered your uncle Richard? This is his son, Calvin" Mom pointed at the doctor who was examining her. Looked at him and he gave me a small smile and continued his duties.

He's Tall, maputi, Hair nicely done, He was wearing a pink dress shirt with three buttons opened and white a white coat.

He was holding a clipboard writing something down and gave it to my mom, he said it was Mom's prescription.

I didn't realized i was staring at him for a while and he suddenly winked at me. I looked away after that and i could see him smirking, "nice meeting you, Valeria" he waved at my mom and left

"You should marry a doctor, mi amore."

" Mamá! stop it, some one might hear you! Come one, let's go" Dad already paid for the hospital bill so we just had to wait for my mom to wake up.

Mom has teased me about this calvin guy all the way home! Gosh. I heard his a son of dad's bestfriend, Uncle Richard. Which owned the hospital Mom stayed in.

I went to my room checking some files and finish up some cases that i didn't finish sa firm ko kaya i had to finish it. Tomorrows a busy day.

"Attorney, expected po kayo sa board meeting around three thirty." Penelope said as she wrote something on the ipad.

"Penelope..." I called her before she head out the door.

"Yes attorney?" I could see her face through the mirror, getting nervous.

"Do you like my outfit?" I asked her curiously . "Does it look weird or is it just me being extra?"

I was wearing khaki / beige trousers with my Chanel loafers in beige and On top was a plain white sleeve less shirt at pinatungan ko nalang ng blazer.

"No Attorney, hindi po weird. Bagay po sainyo" sabi neto "mukhang sasabak nga kayo sa korte eh."

"Really? Well now hows my face?" I showed her what i practiced last night. I showed her a fierce look at natawa ako sa reaction niya.

"Attorney parang papatayin mo naman ako" i laughed. But i had to leave after that when my mother sent me a message that i have to go na.

"Goodmorning Ma'am" the guard greeted

"Goodmorning" i smiled and headed to the elevator, i looked at the time i was 3 minutes early.

"Well that's not-"

All eyes were on me when i opened the door, i coughed before introducing myself. "Attorney Anastasia Louisse Valeria Torres, I'm the lawyer of Torres Land corporation" i showed my I.D

"Mrs. Torres informed me that your team has been investigating the Zamboanga incident. Are you here to give updates about the investigation?" My brother- i mean.. Benjamin Araneta asked me

"No. I'm here for Mr. Frederic De guzman." Their chairman.

"What?"

"Why?"

Everyone was looking at me and then at De guzman. I took a folder out of my bag and placed it on the table.

I opened it and showed Mr. and Mrs. Araneta seven profiles.

"They are not our workers," i pointed at it. "Four of them are in the hospital right now because of injuries that they allegedly inflicted on themselves. That's why I need to talk to Mr. De guzman." I looked at both of the with serious eyes and realized naka titiglang si Mr. Araneta sakin

"Mr. And Mrs. Araneta, this is a serious business, and i don't need you to act as if kakakita niyo lang sakin." I made sure sila lang ang nakaririnig ng sinasabi ko.

"De guzman." Mrs. Araneta coughed before calling him. "Care to explain why you are involved in the investigation?"

"I have a few questions about your relationship with these people and Engineer Guerrero." I sternly looked at the old man sitting next to Mrs. Araneta.

"Why would I answer your fucking questions Attorney.. Torres?" De guzman said and i can already hear whispers

"Sino kaba?" He whispered quietly but failed dahil rinig ko.

"You can ask you boss" i faked  a whisper just right for them to hear me.

I stood up to fix my things.

"I am not forcing you to come with me and answer my 'fucking' questions to prove your innocence but note that this will just make you even more suspicious. My team and i are requesting your full cooperation on this matter in a kind way. If the kind way didn't work, then maybe we'll just see each other in court." i took the folder and my bag, ready to leave.

"F-fine. Ill go." He stood up and fixed his things.

"That's what i thought frederic."

I saw how he looked at me, "tatay ko yun. Wag kang assuming, Frederic din pangalan. May o ngalang" Frederico

Cooperating naman pala tong matandang to. I could tell he was nervous.

[how did it go? Are you okay mi amore?] Mom asked on the phone

She called when the talk  with Mr. Frederic.. 😏

"Sí Mama. Im okay"

I saw some bunch of feets infront of me so i looked up and saw the Araneta family! Reunion?

"Ma, I'm gonna call you back" i ended the call and my brows furrowed with one

"W-what will happen now? Is he... Is he involved?" Mrs. Araneta asked nervously. While looking at me.

"He might be." I shrugged, refusing to give information. "But our company might just settle because this issue can affect your company and ours. It's better to just keep it between us. I'll talk to your company lawyer about this."

"How about the five people involved? Are they okay?" She asked worriedly.

"They are." I nodded. "Engineer Guerrero might also lose her license. The company will deal with our employees."

"Thank you, Attorney." I gave her a tiny nod before walking away , but the rage inside me was slowly building up.  I was about to leave but stopped when i remembered something.

"Nice meeting you again mga.. kamag Aranetas?" I shook my head. Gosh!  Valeria!

"Bye."
