Ana peeked down the stairs cautiously. She wasn't sure what she was looking for, but she'd hoped she'd find it easily. She descended the stairs in her large band shirt and short pajama shorts, noticing the plentiful amount of college boys romping around down there. There was no sign of Calum. She went to the refrigerator and grabbed out the orange juice, pouring herself a glass of it. Michael approached her
"I'm sorry about last night" he whispered "your brothers a dick" Ana sighed
"He was just looking out for me" she replied with a roll of her eyes. Michael sighed, placing a pale hand on her hip and his forehead on hers.
"I could look out for you, you know. I could take care of you" the moment was interrupted by a booming voice
"Where are the Hemmings' at?" He shouted. Ana looked up to see one of her favorite people in the whole world Ashton. He'd been like a brother to her until his family moved away. Ana pushed past Michael and leaped at Ashton.
"Ashy!" She cried. Ashton spun her a bit
"Hey tiny Hemmo!" He exclaimed "god when did you get so.... Puberty?" He questioned. Ana laughed
"I'm 16, Ash" she giggled.
"Jesus 16? Holy shit" he said, running a hand through his long fluffy hair
"Its really been 3 years already?"
"It really has" Ashton shook his head
"Time sure flies, huh?" Ana nodded
"We've missed you! I don't know exactly where Luke is, but I'm sure he'll be along soon enough."
"I'm fine hanging out with you for a while. Besides there's a lot to tell you"
By the end of it, Ana found out Ashton had graduated on the first try even though he regularly failed classes, he started school for engineering, and he had a girlfriend named Leah who went to the art school across town.
"Its been so long, Ash" she said shaking her head. Ashton nodded.
"It has. But I'm on vacation so I just had to come see my other family!" Just then, Luke burst in
"What did I say about boys in your ro- oh! Ashton!" He exclaimed. Ashton stood from Ana's bed and hugged Luke tightly.
"I've missed you bro!" Ashton said
"I've missed you too! Come tell me everything!"
It seemed Ana was alone again
