Leon's POV

We'd be driving for an hour before my passenger asked, "what the hell is going on?"

Breaking the ice was nice, it had been quiet for a bit too long. "I don't know, but hopefully they'll have some answers down at the police station."

She gave me a surprised look. "Wait, you're a cop?"

I shook my head with a wry smile. "Yeah. Leon Kennedy."

"Claire, Claire Redfield."

I was curious and decided to ask her, "you live around here?"

"No, looking for my brother. He's a cop too."

"It's a good thing we found each other. I don't know what to expect anymore."

After arriving in Raccon City, a man came over the radio.

"Attention! All citizens. Due to the citywide outbreak, you are advised to take shelter at the Raccoon City Police Station. Free food and medical supplies will be provide to everyone in need."

As we passed by columns of cars, I watch Claire eye the empty cars with stunned silence. "Oh, God...this is so unreal."

"The police station's not much further. They'll know something."

Claire shifted a bit before turning to me. "Yeah, but...what if we're the only ones? What if there's no survivors-"

"No. There's survivors. It's a big city. There has to be."

I stop the car in front of a roadblock with cars behind it. "Looks like we're walking from here." I was about to open the door when I saw something grab ahold of Claire's attention. She sat up and leaned toward the window as if trying to pick something out of the darkness.

That was when I saw it, or them, rather. Two people were chewing on someone on the ground, their moths filled with blood and flesh, their eyes glazed over like a used condom.

"More like running," Claire says.

"Good call," I say in agreement before one of the creatures trues to break my window followed by its friends.

"Leon. We gotta back up."

I put the car in reverse as they began to shake the vehicle.

We then saw a light behind us and turn to watch an eighteen wheeler hit several of the walkers.

"Holy shit...Claire, get out. Get out, now!"

Trying our best, we push the doors. However, we are unable to apply enough force.

"I can't!"

"Hold on!"

Claire grabbed ahold of the glove compartment. Luckily for us, the driver managed to turn just in time, but crashed into some cars, swerving toward us, crashing into the back, sending us forward, creating a hole in the collumn before flipping onto its side while we crashed into a group of cars.

Claire's POV

I groaned as I stumbled out of the car, almost tripping over my feet. Taking a deep breath, I feel the car explode, the force from the explosion sending me forward a little bit.

"Oh, shit."

I don't see Leon and make my way toward the burning car. However, I sent flying toward the passenger side doors of a car by the explosion of the oil tank. I struggle to stand, by back burning as though were on fire, slowly stiffening up as I force myself to my knees and eventually stand up. I look at the police car, thinking about Leon. However, my fear is alleviated by Leon shouting my name.
