AS RAINE AND KLAUS STEPPED INTO THE GLOOMY HALLS OF MYSTIC FALLS HIGH SCHOOL, THEY HEARD CHATTER FROM NEARBY CLASSROOMS. Klaus had Rebekah stay at the truck with Stefan, whose neck had been snapped multiple times. Raine glanced at Nik, knowing that she couldn't make the same mistake with this doppelgänger as she did with the last.
Soon, a brunette girl stepped out into the hall, humming to herself as she walked. Klaus's smirk grew as he watched her.
The girl turned, and Raine swallowed harshly, not expecting her to look so much like Katerina - the only difference was the hair and choice of clothing.
"There's my girl," Klaus spoke smoothly.
"Klaus." The doppelgänger breathed and began to back away, hoping to escape him. But then she stopped when Raine stood before her with a cold, calculating expression.
"Who are you?" Elena asked nervously as she looked at the blonde beauty in front of her.
"I'm Raine," she replied coldly. "And you are supposed to be dead. My brother killed you." Without warning, Raine shoved the girl into her brother's arms.
Nik held her tightly, smirking down at her terror-filled face. "What are we going to do about that?" he mocked.
The fear radiating from the doppelgänger brought a sadistic smile to Klaus's lips. The siblings could taste the girl's desperation and it made them feel powerful.
"Come on, Nik." Raine declared darkly. "We have business to attend to." The blonde pushed open the double doors and led her brother and the doppelgänger to what she presumed was the gymnasium.

Stefan awoke groggily, his head pounding from being snapped multiple times. Rebekah stood nearby, staring out the open truck door.
"Ah, he lives," she said dryly.
Stefan pushed himself up. "What happened?"
"You took a beating." Rebekah answered humorously, "My brother's been breaking your neck all afternoon. Quite the temper,"
Stefan tensed. "Why did he bring us back to Mystic Falls?"
Rebekah scoffed. "You can drop playing dumb now. It didn't take Rai long to figure out what you've been hiding."
Stefan frowned in faux confusion. "I'm not hiding anything. I've done everything Klaus has asked me to."
Rebekah laughed bitterly. "No, you just failed to mention that the doppelgänger's still alive."
Stefan felt a swell of panic. "Where are Klaus and Raine now?"
