reincarnated into my old au

the beginning

I was going about my day like normal I found a new fanfiction that I was reading and got super interested in however I was interrupted by a searing pain spreading throughout my body as I heard screams echoing around me before it goes silent 'dang I wish I was able to finish that fanfic maybe I'll end up like the mc'

My last thoughts seemed to linger longer than normal as I got the urge to open my eyes so I did and opened them to see a black void and I felt like I was floating in the darkness it felt oddly comforting

"So this is it huh I expected something more" I looked around there was nothing just darkness reminds me of the void in Undertale but less painful I guess "well your in luck young one"

"What the fuck!" Now that definitely isn't normal "calm down now I heard your last thoughts and I've decided to grant you that wish you will be reincarnated into the au you created as your self insert"

My eyes widen in shock and slight fear I made alot of aus with little self inserts not big but still parts of the main story and I made them when I was younger preteen age so unless it's shadowtale or songtale the world is gonna be horrible "oh god please let it be one of the good ones" I close my eyes mentally begging for it to not be one of the poorly made aus

I felt a rush of energy run through my body but the feeling of floating never left I slowly opened my eyes to see a sans his skeleton body black with blacked out eyes with small white eye lights and a black hoodie and grey shorts shadows seem to consume his body creating a mistyness surrounding him as he sits in the woods

I looked down at myself to see I had no body I couldn't feel anything it seems like I was just air almost and I instantly knew which au I was in its shadowtale I was going through a phase when I made this my little insert came in after the genocide that sans went on I was or I guess am basically a being made of his negative emotions

Basically I made it so in this world when the monsters got sealed so did their light it became adapt or be consumed monsters like toriel flowey papyrus and alphys learned to adapt getting glowing eyes with night vision and getting stripes or patches on there bodies that produce light others weren't so lucky like sans who were consumed by the shadows and a side effect of this was rage

for awhile he was able to hide it and keep it at bay and cover it up with jokes and puns but when the human showed up and did their fist genocide run and reset he snapped he couldn't contain his rage fast enough and he ended up killing everyone including the human in blind rage after everyone was dusted he was left alone with the shadows to consume him fully

Then I showed up as a voice in his head giving him company while teaching him how to use the shadows I also give him random urges to kill and random bursts of rage don't judge I had a god complex and liked the thought of controlling someone in that phase leave me be also I had to get more power some way anyway it seems that now is when I'm supposed to teach him about the multiverse and prompt him to learn so he can start destroying other aus welp better get to it

"Hey shade don't you ever get bored of being here" I say he jumps at hearing my voice before sighing "what do you mean it's not like I can go anywhere else" he rolls his eye lights huffing and leaning against a tree I smile or I would have if I had a face anyway  "well what If I told you you could leave" he raised a bonebrow crossing his arms "and how would I go about doing that"

I get closer to him "well there is a way for you to travel to aus or alternate universes some of which you can let your anger out on because there kinda useless" ok that may have been a bit mean but I'm pretty sure there's like a thousand copies of places like Underfell it'll help the balance and he can get rid of that itch to kill and I can feed off of the anger he lets out

Now I may seem like I'm being evil but hey I've wanted to have my villain arc since forever ago but I was to nice so now I'm taking this chance and besides it's fun who wants to change evil characters for the better them being evil is the best part

"Uhh hello your normally not this quiet" oh I blanked out there "sorry I was just thinking what were you saying" he looked confused before shaking it off probably almost questioned how I could think "I said so that whole multiverse theory was actually right" he said seeming genuinely shocked and curious "oh absolutely I know a bit about it myself"

Of course I'm gonna boast my knowledge of something he doesn't know about it's fun "I thought you came from me how do you know this stuff" oh didn't think of that time to bullshit my way through this "well I have been here since you first got consumed and I wasn't gonna just wait around and do nothing while you were bottling your emotions so I learned how to leave and how to do other things before coming back to you and seeing the whole thing that happened and finally getting enough power to talk to you"

Wow I can't believe I was able to come up with that now to see if he buys it "huh I guess that makes sense" yes! I am amazing 10/10 should have been an actor give me my grammy baby woo!

For the rest of the day I talked with sans or as I called him shade to try and teach him how to make portals I'm sure he's consumed enough shadow to make them but it'll probably take months maybe even years to lea-

"Done" what the hell!?! I quickly look over and see he's formed a perfect portal made of shadows against a tree he steps in and comes out from above landing casually unhurt from the fall "it's been two hours how!" He shrugs dispelling the portal "not sure just kinda did it" I sighed and groaned I'm annoyance of course he end up getting it that quick and here I thought I'd get a training montage

Well time to see where this journey takes us hopefully not to much goes wrong I don't think I want to die or can I die guess I can question that a different time
