Ethan had gathered all the lions before they went out to hunt on his property; this was his business, and the way he earned his living through hosting both were lion and human hunting trips was not something I was entirely comfortable with 

Entering the room, I was surprised by the number of people in the room; around twenty-five in total, they were all lounging around the room when we entered some in human form and some as lions. A feeling like an electric shock went through me the moment I stepped through the door and the occupants of the room felt it too. I closed my eyes and clutched Heaths arm to stabilise myself I could feel every lion in the room their fear and for some hostility.

 <Who's she>   <why's she here>   < I feel strange>   < she is human >   < is that heath>   < her smell it is calming>   < don't like this make it stop> < drawn to her like a dominant>   < what is she> <how> <why>   <who>

A chorus of random voices echoed in my head I could not think it was a verbal assault happening from the inside I clutched at my ears and clenched my eyes closed trying desperately to stop the noise.

"Block your thoughts all of you now" Ethan's commanding voice flowed through the room.

Suddenly the noise stopped and I was able to uncover my ears and open my eyes. Everyone in the room was staring straight at me and I gulped this hadn't been what I expected when I came for the hunt I felt like the prey

"Get control Jacey" came my mother's voice from right next to me I glanced down noticing her for the first time

Taking a few deep breathes I felt my nerves settle and Heath who had been clutching my hand seemed to relax a little<

<Jacey try to calm the room>

I frowned at Ethan <why>

<I will explain it to everyone once they are all calm now does it please>

Trusting that Ethan knew what he was doing I tapped into that familiar place and sent out calming thoughts I usually tried to make eye contact when I did this but that didn't seem like such a great idea at the moment.

The room seemed to visibly relax and some of the odours that had been filling the room seemed to dissipate.

<Do not stop til I say> Ethan again cut into my mind I was getting sick of him startling me like that.

<You get used to my love> Heath said

Ethan moved to the centre of the room

"Allow me to apologize for what occurred just now I'm afraid it was entirely my fault'

"This beautiful Woman a human woman "He said gesturing to me " has just been marked by her true mate the man next to her, She is also a Narashimo and is here today to gain control over her gift before facing the elders in a few short weeks"

Gasps and muttered profanities littered the room

<Jacey control them> Both Ethan and Heath snapped at the same time

" I know this is overwhelming and once again I apologize I should have warned you all but I didn't think the reaction would be so severe Jacey has spent a lot of time in my home and around other were lions the intense reaction you all felt today was due to the recent marking which I insisted on"

Ethan paused then waiting for the murmurs swirling around the room to settle down.

"As most of you now know Jacey is a Narashimo the first we have seen in many years.  In a few weeks, the elders will be here to assess her abilities and ensure she is not a danger to us.  Once they've seen that they will bless Heath and Sylvia's relationship, you all know how important that is to gaining prestige in our community which is why I was certain you would all be willing to help her"
