Chapter 7

They went in after delivering the goods they went to see the princess in throne room. she was sitting on her throne wearing a black gown and red crown , they bowed to her .

She asked" what business they had". Eve got up and told about the storm she asked if they can get help to revive their town , princess laughed and said they deserve it all. They're the ones who killed my dragon i won't let them live in peace. Eve wondered what she was talking about she talked about it to the people, wondered around palace ..then she found out when princess was still a child she had a pet dragon.

But people of the town got scared of the dragon , it was little that time but once the dragon grow up it'll ruin the town. There was an old saying, an old dragon from a witch might remove the existence of little people. They believed it so deeply that they asked king and queen to take away the dragon.

But they denied to do so, since it was a matter of their daughter's happiness. One day the dragon disappeared on its own. Kind ordered soldiers to search everywhere but they couldn't find any trace , where the dragon went. Princess kept on believing it was villagers who killed her dragon because of the saying.

Villagers kept on proving their innocence, king believed their words and let the matter drop but the princess held grudges against them. After king and queen died it was Princess time to take over the throne . Eve kept on looking for clues about the matter, but it was hard to get any since the incident was from a long time .

She asked villagers about the incident, they didn't knew anything about it. Their words didn't change which said they were innocent and didn't do anything to the dragon. Eve thought to herself "why'd they go against royalty?". Truth might be hidden somewhere . As the few days passed she kept on looking around, one day in the forest on the side of the stream in a dark place where she got lost. She seemed to hear weird noises . She was afraid to go alone but she had no other choice but to go in there. She sneaked in the place. It was dark. She looked around, there were different kind of potions in a room many different kind of herbs, dead animals. She thought if a witch lived here. She went from one room to another there were different kind of weird material in there, as she went deep in there was a cave at the back of the house.

She went the cave , deeper she heard a creepy laugh . Quietly she was the witch there talking to a dragon tied in chains.
She was cutting off dragon's fingers . Witch laughed to herself "just a little more blood of this majestic dragon and I'll become most powerful in this world". Dragon kept groaning in pain.
Eve was thinking if the dragon was Princess'.

When witch left , Eve came out of the dark and looked at dragon. He was in a cage ,chained , groaning in pain . She could see he didn't had few fingers . Eve felt sad for him and said " I'll come back and free you ". She ran out somehow and found a way back . After returning from the cave she asked the Grandpa about dragon's look which Princess had .

Grandpa said he didn't actually ever see the dragon but he heard rumours it was a red one. Eve remembered the dragon she saw was red too. She told about that to grandpa. He got mad and told her to not go there again, but she had to save the dragon but she can't do this alone. So, she decided to talk to princess about it. Next day she went to the castle alone to meet the Princess. She was usually sitting on her throne.

Princess looked at her up close and said "you doesn't seem to be from this world , who are you?". Eve said " Before that your majesty, i want to tell you that i found a dragon as your pet under a witch's possession. She caged up the Dragon and chained him". Eve told everything about her visit to the witch's place.

Princess stood up in surprise and warned Eve if it was a lie she'd kill her.Eve said "You may your highness, but witch might be powerful i wish you help me to make sure its your dragon". Princess said" it doesn't matter, if witch had caught a dragon she might attack this place. Dragon's blood can create a secret potion with the right amount which provide eternal power.
