Buck hung up the phone and sighed deeply, slamming it onto the table.
"What'd they say?" Eddie asked.
"They said that I can't get any money until they close the investigation and so far.." he leaned back in his chair and swiped a hand through his hair. "No leads."
"What did Athena say?"
"She said she would work on it but there's nothing she can do."

Eddie sat in the chair next to Buck, about to say something before Buck began speaking again.
"And I can't call maddie cause she's on the retreat and she doesn't have access to her phone."
"Don't you have a key?" Eddie asked.
"Yea... I left it at home."

Eddie chuckled softly, almost apologetically before extending his hand to meet Buck's on the table.
"You know, your welcome to stay at mine. As long as you need."
"You sure Chris won't mind?"
"Are you kidding? He loves you. Sometimes I think more than me."
Buck chuckled, a smile lighting up his face. The first one for a while.

"Buck," Bobby called out while making his way up the stairs. Eddie quickly let go of his hand and tucked his under the table.
"Yea cap." Buck responded.
"You've had a tough day, take the rest of the day off."
"Thanks cap." Buck said before turning to Eddie.
"I'll meet you there." Eddie said, smiling.
