Normally, you would ignore the men that are being interrogated and just be with Stella comforting her. It was a few days after her debut but she was still shaken by the events as she constantly made visits to your room. You had moved from the servants' quarters after getting a promotion of your deeds and been promoted to Stella's bodyguard when fully healed up.

Although you would still be attending your duties as a maid.

Would this be calling you a battle maid like in Overlord?

You haven't had the chance to think much about it before someone called your name, turning your attention to the person beside you. Ah right, you had company. Liam looked at you worriedly with a frown pulling at his lips, "You're drifting off again."

You shook your head, "I'm fine, Liam."

He looked at you reluctantly before pouting, "You're too distracted to even pay attention to me."

Ah, what a puppy.

You refrained from snickering as you bopped his nose, watching in amusement as his eyes went cross-eyed. "I'm paying attention to you right now, aren't I?"

Liam grinned at you when someone interrupted your moment by calling your name. Turning away from Liam to see the commander, Cole, who has a worried look on his face. Surprise caught you off-guard as the knight made his way to your bed.

You were in your new room, which was bigger for you with more space, a vanity was set up at one side with a window at the other, and your bed was fixed at the back of the room with soft covers and fluffy blankets. Liam was at your bedside while you were under the covers, your scarred arm still bandaged but you can feel it healing pretty well

"Commander Cole, what a surprise." you greeted, eyes still wide before they lowered a bit. "How may I help you?"

Cole, to his benefit, answered with his face as it changed to a strawberry red colour and averted his eyes to look anywhere but you. You blinked in confusion at this, wondering what could have brought his embarrassment.

You look down at yourself. You were not naked by all means, just wearing a simple white dress for bedwear. Liam snorted derisively, "Not used to women being underdressed, aren't you?"

Cole frowned as he looked at the boy without making eye contact with you. Impressive. "And you are?"

"I have two older sisters at home, and I don't really see a problem with them being naked."

"How inappropriate!"

"Come on, that's how comfortable they are."

You snickered under your uninjured hand at the 'argument'. "Well, I apologize for my appearance Commander Cole. But is there a reason why you're here?"

"A-ah, yes. I just wanted to make sure you're okay."

Pink bloomed on the knight's cheeks as he tried maintaining eye contact with you.

'... maybe I should marry these two when I'm done here. They're cute.'

Apologies for the short chapter, but this was more of a filler to make up for the long delay. I hope you enjoy it.
