Diagon Alley had been filled with people doing their last bits of Christmas shopping, she was glad when they left, she had also managed to find everything she needed for everyone. For her brother she purchased the latest broom, he'd been going on about how he had been meaning to purchase a new one but could just never find the time and Ethan didn't want to endorse his Quidditch obsession any longer and refused to buy him one. For Blaise she had brought him two things, the most antique looking telescope she could find since he was an Astronomy lover and then a gag gift- a mirror since he enjoyed staring at himself so much. She hadn't put much thought into Draco's, she went for some dark green cufflinks in the shape of a snake. Anything green would do for him. She brought a new head for Lucius cane, it was the shape of dragon and in goblin silver too, she was getting sick of seeing that skull, for Pansy a book by Newt Scammander since she loved magical animals, for Narcissa some perfume that she imagined would suit her well.
Theodore's gifts were the ones she was most excited about, she had left him for an hour or two in Diagon Alley to wonder by herself, she came across a number of herbs and flowers he could use in his potions, so she brought all of them, the shop owner was kind enough to bag them in little pouches and label them fancily before placing them into a box. She then bough a series of new phials in different colour, and then some Potions books that she was sure he didn't have.
They'd returned to the Malfoy Manor to set down their gifts and then quickly ventured back out again.
"Now, where are we going?" Ivory asked.
"I want to do something I've never done with anyone before." He grabbed hold of her hand, they were standing a little outside Malfoy Manor.
"Okay, how are we going to get there?"
"Apparate, how else would we get there, on foot?" he questioned with a flat look.
"Theo, you shouldn't be Apparating you're underage and you don't have a licence," Ivory said sternly and he rolled his eyes.
"I mastered it ages ago, it's how I get to most places outside of Hogwarts. Floo Powder is for amateurs I only used it for Diagon Alley so you wouldn't freak out, but where we are going you can't use Floo transportation-"
"Is it a muggle place?" Ivory wrinkled her noise, not in disgust but in uncertainty.
"Of course not." Theodore pulled a face.
"You're setting yourself up for trouble." Ivory gave in bracing herself.
"The worst that could happen is that you get splinched, it's a fifty-fifty chance."
"Are you being serious?!" Ivory hissed snatching her hand back. "Carry on and I won't be going anywhere with you."
"Ready?" he sighed dramatically pulling her hand back.
"Yes," she grumbled, without warning Ivory felt herself being squashed in all sorts of directions, and the breath being sucked out of her as if she were being pushed through a tube.
