"You will be taking Transfiguration, Defence Against the Dark Arts, Ancient Runes, Charms, Potions and Alchemy as an elective," McGonagall said to her and Ivory's shoulders sank. Quite frankly she didn't want any more one on one time with Snape than was necessary and she was already continuing Occlumency this year.

"Is the Alchemy with Snape then? Not enough people chose it?" Ivory questioned glumly.

"Why would it be with Professor Snape Miss Galliano? It's with Professor Slughorn, and yes you are the only one taking the class as far as I am aware. That's why it's been assigned as an elective, should you choose to drop it, then you may do so no later than next week." The older witch tilted her head before tapping the piece of parchment, handing Ivory's timetable to her.

"Thought Slughorn wanted no affiliation with the children of Death Eaters."

"That's no business of his, Slughorn's job is to teach and should he have any opinions you can let me know and it will be dealt with accordingly," the woman said sharply. Ivory wasn't upset, she was keen on alchemy, not with Professor Slughorn though, the man had already decided she wasn't worth his time through her parentage without even laying eyes on her.

"I guess I've got Ancient Runes now, I'll see you in Defence," Ivory bid Fabiola goodbye and headed out of the Great Hall jam toast in hand meeting Theodore, Blaise and Draco halfway. They'd all decided to take Ancient Runes again, Ivory assumed they would have mostly identical time tables except for a few subjects here and there, purely by coincidence.

"Potter didn't make it to London then? A shame," Draco snorted and Ivory scoffed.

"Well Draco I'm glad someone found him, I didn't tell you he was there so you'd attack him, I told you so you'd shut your pie hole for a second."

"I hope you're taking Potions?" Theodore asked her and Ivory nodded.

"I am, but I've got an Alchemy elective with Slughorn, please, please ask him if you can take it up?" Theodore stared at her as if she'd grown two heads.

"Why the fuck would I spend anymore time with a man that already hates me without knowing me? Besides I'm a Poisons and Anecdotes type of guy. Alchemy is not really my thing."

"Nobody in the whole fucking school is taking that but me." Ivory threw her head backwards in annoyance.

"Take the bloody elective, it might work out to our advantage." Draco stopped his conversation with Blaise and scoffed at Ivory.

"You know we shouldn't take on extra classes, we've got other...commitments," Theodore said and Ivory sighed.

"Fine. It better play out in my favour," she mumbled as they filed into Ancient Runes, a class where Ivory usually sat beside Hermione Granger. Theodore looked relieved that Ivory hadn't tried to fight him on it.

"Good, and if Slughorn is a prick to you, tell me, I'll have a word with Snape." Theodore kissed her forehead before naturally heading to the other side of the classroom.

"Hey," Hermione greeted and Ivory gave a stiff nod in response.

"Looks like we're the only Gryffindors in this class." The class had zero Hufflepuffs, it was mostly Ravenclaw, three Slytherins and Two Gryffindors.

"As we've always been, will you be taking Arithmancy this year?" Hermione asked hopefully.

"No, but Fabiola is I think." Hermione's shoulders dropped significantly.

"I don't think she likes me much, you know ever since third year when I told her that she must be an idiot to get a 'P' in Astronomy she never really liked me, I can't blame her. I didn't really mean it in a bitchy way...my inner thoughts sort of just slipped out."
