Trust no one is the most common saying among teenagers. But why? Why shouldn't we be able to trust people? Why shouldn't we get the peace of mind that someone out there will listen to us and whatever you say to them stays between just you and them? I wonder why every day. I wonder why it is so hard for people to have the common decency to keep something as little as a secret. I wonder why it is so hard for people to have such little decency to stay committed to a single person. I wonder why it is so hard for people to be good friends. Trusting people is so hard nowadays you never know who to trust and it sucks. Why should I have to sit with the pit in my heart after telling someone something? Why should I have to find out that my trust has been broken? Why is it that whenever I trust someone it always comes out from someone new at the end? What did I do to deserve that? What makes it fair to me? What makes it fair to anyone? Trust isn't something you give anymore, it's something that needs to be earned. That's why I'll always stand by saying trust no one.
