(Maintainer/Reader POV)
Master Diviner, I have arrived.
"Ah you there must be the new maintainer of Matrix of Prescience. I trust your expertise in the jade abacus to be adequate? Its speed has been rather slow as of late, about 7.6% slower than its usual operating time."
Her figure overlooked the divine commission. The silk of her hair flowed and glowed a soft green, jade reflecting off its shine before the strands settled past her shoulders once more, returning to its natural pink hue. Her feet shift under her before the rest of her body followed. Her face turned to face me, her caramel-gold eyes locked with mine, piercing deep into my heart. I couldn't hide the flush from my face.
I- I understand, Master Diviner Fu, I shall return it to its previous performance.
"Hmph. That much is expected. If you want me to be impressed, you should exceed my expectations. I reward my employees for their hard work."
Her brows furrowed, giving her a slight glare before she returned to her soft expression. Her hands were now on her hip, chest slightly tilt towards me, expecting an answer, an answer which was delayed a moment too long as I kept staring at her form.
Y- Yes Diviner Fu! For your sake I will what I must!
Her suspicious expression gave way to a soft smile. She leaned back onto the balcony, before turning her gaze back to her commission.
"Glad to hear it."
After I finally managed to tear my gaze away from her form, I began walking away, my footsteps quickly apace, in sync with my heartbeat. As my sweat was finally beginning to settle, Diviner Fu raised her voice afar,
"Maintainer! I'm looking forward to working with you~!"
Her voice rang across the commission, calling for my head to turn towards her. There she was, her right hand above her head, waving back and forth as her left hand settled at her mouth, a feeble attempt at amplifying her soft voice. Under the moonlight, there stood true divine. Under the moonlight, she captured my wonder.
