Thanks, have a good read :)
With every step, every limp, every splash Augustus's buckled boots made, pain continued to come crawling through him, only getting worse, but he continued matching on. His clothes stuck to his skin, tightening his wounds, making them almost numb.
Despite the need to rest, how light headed he felt, spiraling into a point of pass out he STILL continued making his way along a man-made path, not an idea or thought of where he was heading, and his plans.
All he knew as he wasn't alone.
Someone was here recently.
Augustus has spotted a human silhouette spiriting along the beginning of this path only a moment ago. Though he knew it was the shape, the same silhouette of a human figure, he couldn't detect whether it was a star or just a human that lives upon Munthy.
Which was worse, was the question.
He wasn't sure he wanted to be met with a face at all.
He was right at this moment located in between Nightfall and Brighthollow so it could be a human from one of those kingdoms, but his hopes laid on Brighthollow.
Nightfall were the reason he was here, they were the ones that banished him not to never be seen again. For all they knew, they knew him as dead, he was lucky the new leader let him go freely, that's what they said, but was it really? Augustus wouldn't be in this position if they hadn't been merciful. That thought only made the thought of being face to face with a person from Nightfall better, as word would spread and they'll be on a hunt for him, this time on a mission to kill.
On the other hand if he wanted to survive, a person from Brighthollow would be his best hope. Brighthollows were the most caring out of the bunch.
They would take anyone in without a second thought, they were too native to think otherwise, that's what words spread about them, but that was hard for Augustus Hunts to believe. No one could be that kind, he knew there were far kinder people than his kind, but no one but a young child would be this native. Even a child would be questioning why he was here, what had happened, or at the very least think about it. Even if this was true, word would spread about his arrival, drawing Nightfall's attention, and the other two kingdoms: Windypaths, and Shadalley and probably even the stars from his planet, Lianu.
This wouldn't end well, Nightfall might try to get his hands on him if Brighthollow allowed it, but he couldn't be sure, but most importantly, the red stars would try to get him back, back to serving for them again. This would also be brought to the purple stars now knowing of his actions, the actions that broke their very promise he made with them, they would be furious. Milo Alaric would be furious. Augustus Hunts would have to face them again. On top of this he would have to go back to his normal routine, with all the most responsibility upon his shoulders. A responsibility he never wished for, but was granted by birth. That wasn't some place he didn't want to end up in again.
What was his home other than a scrabble of trash, a life of misery.
A life restricted, a life of war, that wasn't the life Augustus Hunt wanted. Not anymore, not ever. Especially with his life tight in a knot, as with his actions on going back he would have broken another promise. This time Nightfalls
He didn't want blood on his hands, not anymore.
He never wanted such responsibility.
Keeping his focus on his surroundings again he continued heading along the path made out for him, though he was cautious, looking around him, scanning his surroundings, not wanting this to end with his blood on someone else's hand.
